Well its happened to me, 05 enthusiast model, 12,000 miles, with a grinding tranny. The problem is that is only grinds when shifting fast near or at redline between 1st and 2nd, and 4th and 5th. I'm positive its not drivers error either. I've let other, much more experienced drivers drive my car and they experience the same thing. The problem is that its impossible to bring it to the dealer and show them how it grinds because they are right away going to blame it on misuse and me beating on the car (both of which I dont do). So is it going to get worse? At lease this way if it does I can get it replaced under warrenty. I love every single damn thing about this car, why's the tranny have to give me problems. Sorry for yet ANOTHER tranny thread. BTW I've read all the post about trannys I know its a very common problem. My only question is will it get worse? Thanks.

 

Read my thread I have the same problem as you but watch out there are alot of guys on this forum that will say it's our driving and that were a bunch of punk kids that all we do is race from ever stop light. HAHA I can assure you I don't and I have this problem. It's definately not you. Jeff at performance nissan has worked with me and I will be getting my tranny replaced but also getting an aftermarket JWT flywheel which will help from this problem ever returning. Hope this helps.

yep i think mines about to go also... 04 touring 9300miles 1-2 shift fast shifts at redline = occasionall grinding. also 3rd its notchy and 6th is hard to get into... dunno what to do about it either i know nissan will tell me to eff off cuz they already got my $$
