Flame on if you like. But I agree, most (not all) of the comments here were just
washed out. People are stating the MT is more reliable with little or no facts to
go with their statement. I also agree that on the record, if we are talking about
reliability on the Z at least, how many posts have we read about the MT in the
way of grinding and tyranny replacements? Yet you are saying the MT on the Z
is more reliable under heavier load than the AT? Last time I checked the probs
with the MT on the Z were mostly at stock hp or very little above it.

As far as fun factor; it's insane for one person to say one is more fun than the
other. For those who argue MT is more fun, I would simply say how much fun is
it to be in grid lock traffic in an MT? We could go back and forth in terms of
which is better, so why waste the time in that area. Besides, simply having an
MT doesn't mean you know how to drive it. A monkey could sit in the driver's
seat and manage the clutch and shifter; but that doesn't make him a good driver.

I would say more MT drivers than you know would probably lose to an AT or
slower car because they are lost when it comes to truly driving a MT. We've
seen it time and time again when the slower car wins because the driver has
a better mastery of the MT than the guy in the faster car.

I'm rambling... anyway...

A car forum really isn't the place to discuss this.

It was an A-N-A-L-O-G-Y ...that's all ...NO Literal interpretations were meant and NO reference to TT set-up was implied either.

CHILL OUT...AIGHT? no need for you to get uptight.....

Relax dude. I'm just making fun of your statement because you were comparing an AT to a castrated dog and saying that it wasn't fun. Either you really know what a castrated dog feels like and you're talking from experience or you're an ignorant a$$. Of course, everybody knows, you can't possibly know what a castrated dog feels like ... that's what makes it funny. And your right, it has no bearing on TT setup.

You want to dish it out but you can't take the rebuttal. I have no problem if you like one tranny over another tranny. It's your choice, enjoy it or live with it, your decision. Being fun or not is subjective to the individual person. There is no need to go comparing people to castrated dogs, pussies or whatever derogatory name comes to mind just because they are different than you.

BTW adding IMO or something similar doesn't make what you say okay. Your opinion stops being an opinion when you start the name calling or personal attacks.

The 6MT Z is a wonderful car. But, the thread starter's question was with the reliability of the 5AT with a TT setup when compared to a 6MT with a TT setup. It doesn't sound like the starter really cared about which tranny he had, he just wanted it to be reliable with a TT and wanted some information.
