Can't be 100%. For example, the tire pressure sensors are made for Nissan by Schrader Electronics, an Irish company. I'm sure a lot of other components are made in other countries and imported into Japan. Gone are the days where a car (or any other product) are made exclusively in one country.

car is manufactured in Japan, doesn't mean all components are made in Japan.

Isn't there some kind of "final assembly" that is done here in the states?

There are some "port installed" options. Things like the mud flaps, door sills, floor mats, etc.

Assembled there - not necessarily every part was "made" there.

Seems to me like the majority of 03 models have had their current transmissions installed at your local dealer.

That J at the beginning of the VIN means it was made in Japan. As far as every little wire and transistor...no. China kinda has electronics on lock (Taiwan, Hong Kong, or otherwise).

hehehe...Good One, Jason.

Assembled 100% in Japan, parts sourced internationally, options and port installed items, as mentioned earlier, placed at the dealer and port of entry respectively.

Too bad the japanese don't know how to aline a cars wheels. =)~

On another note. Cars like Fords are made from parts that come from all over the wolrd then they are (some) pieced together in Mexico or Canada.

What dose that make the car? sure as heck can't be american.
