Default nismo lsd popping and tilton flywheel grinding

hey guys i got a nismo lsd install and its really loud and poppy is there anything i can do, so it's not so loud such as fluid change?

and now that i have a flywheel my tranny makes a bunch of little grinding noises and was wondering if synthetic fluid would help make it quieter?

I love the parts but the noises are kinda annoying.

any help would be appreciated.

I have same set up and yes redline fluid does help but its the price we have to pay for a quick revving flywheel and nismo lsd.

my nismo only pops in the first 5 min or so after driving and it's only slow parking lot stuff when it does

the tilton - well it's going to make noise. Raising the rev limiter to around 1300 will get rid of the idle noise...

I beleive the first setting is 60%, then 80% and the final is 100%. And Redline or Royal Purple in the rear diff. will help.

I have the LSD at max setting, the noise was unbearable before I changed to Redline 75w90, after changing to redline the popping sound has tamed down for a couple weeks, but after one drift day all the noise came back and it has been unbearable again even i added more friction modifier. I guess its just one of the characterisitics of the diff, we'll just have to live with it and ignore the attention on you when making U-turn at a Safeway parking lot.

Change the oil in the diff. often and adjust to the lowest (60%) setting which is still WAY aggressive.

As for the tranny/clutch, having a super light flywheel will cause a lot of chatter, and odd noises when engaging the clutch etc...
Locking Diffs make poping noises as well, that's fairly normal. you can run various fluids, or additives, but it's still going to be fairly normal. Especially under low speed turns etc... like in parking lots... Just the way they are...

i have the same setup...nothing really you can do about the clutch and flywheel. i just changed to solid motor mounts today and have driven about 60 miles...seems quieter but it's way too early to tell. also, the solid mounts give the car a slight vibration so that *may* be masking the chatter.

as for the nismo lsd, i've just switched to motul 90pa and it's gotten a lot better but then again WAY too early to tell.

it's going to be trial and error until you find what works best for you.

exactly what a lot of these guys said: Redline 75w-90. When it gets loud again, then you change it.
Flywheel chatter is pretty normal for any racing flywheel.
