So here it is I was driving down Valley Blvd in La Puente around 1am and some people in a lemans Z come up from behind me. So were cruising down Valley and we hit a red light. We exchange the thumbs up and as we take off I notice they hit the throttle so I hit it a little bit. Guess what as I am shifting from 2nd to third she grinds nasty, wow was I embarrased nothing to do but shrug and smile as these two chicks laugh at me. HA HA I thought it was so funny.

As most of you know it wasn't my driving but the infamous tranny problems I'm having. They don't know that, they must have thought I am such a noob O well **** happens

 

It happens to us all...

Next time, dont press your clutch pedal in all the way, it will shift smoother...

How come I never see any Z's when im driving around :-/

 

mine was worse. i lost to an srt-4 cuz of a poor launch AND mis-shift both. talk about feeling like a tool.
ps: maybe we should subtitle this thread "your most embarassing loss".

 

when i get nervous...i sometimes push the gas too hard during take off. The car revs to like 2k rpms before i start moving and it gets pretty loud. It's embarassing because it seems like i suck at driving.

 

^ actually, they say you're supposed to rev before you launch, and you're supposed to let off on the clutch a bit too, to preload it prior to launching.

This was the situation, my girlfriend and I at the park, and a cop showing up flashing his lights and makes us get out the car. Get the picture

 

I was new to the car's handling and rwd for that matter. I was stopped at the lights waiting for the left turn signal to flash on so I can go. I'm checking out some chicks and they smile. My light turns green and ripped chunks of tire..take the turn and start to loose the back end. The car violently whiplashes from side to side across three lanes. I was swung from side to side in my car like those inflatable punching clowns. Could have sworn I was gonna smash the center island. Not cool.

 

Couple of days ago, I'm next to a Monte Carlo (the new, SLOW one....wait, they're all slow).

Anyways, he punches it (I didn't think to race) & so do I in order to get in front of him as our lanes merged.

I keep my foot down for the power shift & miss 2nd gear while he catches up LOL. Put it in 2nd & barely passed him before the merge while in 3rd gear.

The guy probably thought to himself "Wow, he barely beat me, those things are slow". Hahahahahaa, whatever.

 

When I first got the Z I stalled a few times. Once in a blue moon, when trying to shift too fast I let go of the clutch before it's in gear and get that grinding noise. Embarrassing...

 

2 days ago a Gallardo pulled up next to me. I was admiring the engine sound(sounded like a F-14 ready to take off). Anway the light in front of us turns yellow so I say to myself "what the hey" I open it up in 3rd flew through intersection and continue pushing it through 4th. Then I hear this loud rumble...I look in my review and see the Gallardo about 5-6 car lengths behind roaring towards me. Keep in mind the whole time I was WOT. It took him a while but he caught up and I let off because the lane was merging. So he flew pass me. Plus my favorite turn in the area was coming up so I knew to slow down. It's smooth 90 degree and we continued pushing it. I was still on his tail during the turn, but while my stock tires were screaming his seemed to be glued to the ground. As we caught up with traffic he seemed really amped to keep racing. I already felt dumb racing a Gallardo . In anycase my turn came and he was flexing really hard as I turned away...He must of thought me and my stock Z was a joke, but oh well!

Anyone out there remeber the movie Wierd Science? Well my best bud loves pulling this line out of that movie. We were sitting at a light, me behind the wheel of my Z with a car load of hottties with their windows down next to us.
I glance over, they arent even looking our way yet, so my buddy see's his oppertunity, he crouches real low and fast so It looks like im in my car by myself, and he yells so friggin loud, "Hey, Check Me OUT!!!" Im sitting there with my thumb in my azz and every single girl turned to see who said it and there I was. I will get him back one day. lol BEN

 

I've been embarassing myself this whole week because I adjusted down my clutch pedal and I'm still getting used to it, so I over rev it occasionally, .

 

I'm having a hard time picturing exactly what was going on here, nor do I know how it would happen! Lol.....w...t...f... were you doing? Maybe the chicks said wow, that guy can almost loose control really good! :P


My moment was at a coin car wash I frequent....I love the power washer!!!

Anyways, I was cleaning my tires and rims, and my hands were getting the black road tar on them, and its summer, so I'm sweating....Anyways, my car si straight blingin', its a sunny day, paint is shiny, rims and tires are shiny, and now I'm taking the long way home that way people can see me in my clean car (yeah I know, showoff), I am at a light a few streets from my house, and this cute girl is in her v6 stang looking over, I can see in my peripheal(SP?) vision her staring, so I look over and smile, and she smiles really big, and looks away, so we take off and I get home, my GF says wtf is on your head? I go to the mirror, and I have a phat black road tar streak down the right side of my face, I'm sure that complimented my Black spys well....lol. What a dork!

I was cruising thru Virginia Tech with another Z. We're stopped at a light on main street in downtown. I thought I was in neutral so I put up my ebrake and let off the clutch so slowly my car stalled but didn't jerk at all...soooooo.....I waited 20s for the light to turn green before I started my car again to the sound of 2-3 haters blatantly forcing laughter.
