Question How to find out if a car has been ordered?

Ok, so here's the deal. I might be getting a Z for xmas from my dad. Now I am about 95% sure about this but, I want to make sure. All this idle waiting really sucks. I check the nissan inventory every day hoping to see the car there. Anywase, what is the slickest way for me to find out if the car has been ordered. Do you think I should just call up the dealership? How would I get the info out of them? Any thoughts? This waiting is going to killll me...

Default can't help you, except..........

I recommend that you not try to find out for sure. Don't go behind your dad's back. That relationship is much more important than any car. You may or may not be getting a Z, so don't get your hopes up too much. Your dad probably knows what's best for you. Trust him always. Look forward to a good Christmas with your dad regardless of what he has in store.

Just my fatherly advice. As always, people can take it or leave it. I sincerely recommend you take it.

I know it's tempting. We will always be tempted and will always have the really important things to look forward to. I'm sure you will have a lot to be thankful for this Christmas, as will all of us.

Do you think your Dad would be interested in
adopting a 35 year old man? Just kidding.
Seriously though, heed Wayne's advice. I hope
you have a merry Christmas either way!

its a tricky process, if your dad ordered the car, it might not get here by xmas, or maybe its already here and picked up waiting at his office or neighbors garage. but what fun is it if it isnt a suprise?

He ordered the car in mid-late october. I more or less know that he did. He's not good at keeping the obvious secret, I think he was as excited as I will be. Hopefully with it will come in by xmas but I am not sure if it will? Order date of like 10-20 ? Its gonna be close...

I'm sorry, but your Z won't be in for Christmas if he ordered it mid-late october. Good Luck though...

Patience is a virtue. Hell, I ordered my car Septmeber 30th and I don't expect it until February. Okay, I understand your impatience. But seriously, listen to Wayne (oh wise one ). Even if your dad can't keep the big secret, never go behind your parents back. It will make for a much happier relationship and he might keep the Z for himself if you do something wrong.

nope if he ORDERED in october, no way youll get it by now, takes longer than that to build and ship even if he did order it and have it built that day. now if the dealer sold him a car they ordered previously then it could come in, or he could get it off a lot, there are 350Zs sitting on lots, Ive driving proof of that.

LOL. SRacer, you made me laugh. I have to admit, that was a little "touchy-feely". But, hey! It's almost Christmas!

Exactly, there's what, like a week and a half left? I'd wait it out. And I'm SO impatient!
