Bought My New Z Yesterday!
Well I went ahead and did it, I bought a 05 35th Anniversary SB Z yesterday. I was torn between getting an 05 or wait for the 06, but gave in it was such a good deal. Knowing the rims and engine are standard next model year doesn’t bother me, and the headlights and taillights aren't enough to make me want to wait. Considering I got it for the price of a base (MSRP) roadster, and my 35th is fully loaded with nav and side curtain airbags, I am happy. Was one of 2 left at all the dealers in my area, and I had them both fighting for my business over the phone, was the first "fun" car purchasing experience I've had.
Now I'm counting the hours to leave work so I can drive home...

Does anyone have any recommendations on what to use to remove the dealers stupid sticker that is stuck right above the 350Z logo on the rear? I want to be as careful as possible with my new paint!
I'm not going to advertise the dealer with my car.

Congrats, man. The first month that I bought it I was so enamored that I forgot to pay my credit card bill and I havent missed a payment is 7 years or so. I then spent almost half of my work time on the forum and imagining driving my car. I am more settled now.
Congo-rats!!! It's definetly a fun car. I enjoyed purchasing mine back in May (2003 Track Model, Silverstone). I didn't think I would be able to get one, yet after searching I got this one for $21k, with only 11k miles. Now I have close to 22k miles on it and will have to drive it to Vegas (relocating) in Sept. I do love visiting these forums to find things to do to it in the future!

CAREFULLY heat the sticker with a hairdryer. It should be very warm to the touch BUT NOT HOT! Keep the dryer about 8-10 inches away from the painted surface. You can augment the heating by parking the car in the sun for awhile before heating with the hairdryer. Get a corner of the sticker peeled up and apply steady pulling pressure while continuing with the hairdryer. Keep the sticker at a 90 degree angle while you peel it off. Any left over adhesive can be removed with WD-40.
If it is a metal or plastic sticker mounted with a double-stick tape carefully pry up a corner with a small screwdriver. You can cover the blade with a cloth if you feel it necessary. Once the double-faced tape starts to split, continue with steady pressure until the sticker is off. Make sure the metal sticker doesn't contact the paint at the end that you are not peeling (keep a fingernail under the end to prevent contact). Again, remove the remaining tape with a liberal dose of WD-40. Hope this helps.
