i tried finding this in the sevice manual. but where is the water temp sender? i want to put in a water temp gauge and it says just to replace the stock sender with theirs. any help on this would be great. thanks! (im noob)

 

I wouldn't replace the stock sender, I would tee off of it and run both sensors as the voltage from each might be different. With that being said, I have no idea where the temp sensor is on our car.
