Default SRTs kicks the Z's AZZ! Get a real car u fools!

Ok...I'll preface this email with the fact that I've had a few (many) tonight. Anyway..ignore the title. Just an attention grabber. I was driving the other day and was thinking to myself that I should see how many other members have premature wear on their steering wheel, shifter and leather seats (if applicable).

I have 19k on a 2003 (only owner) and I have noticed that my steering wheel is wearing hard along with my leather seats. I replaced my shift **** at at 17k b/c the metal shift guide was peeling (I kid you not) and some of the silver finish on the right side had worn off. My driver seat (left bolster) is wearing hard where I feel at 30k it will look like total crap.

Now I take care of my leather (Zaino cleaner and conditioner). Pretty much use it every 2-3 weeks and more in the hot summer heat. I also use the Courtesy Parts Nissan sun shade to keep the sun out. Plus I'm tinted. Just seems like to me that it is wearing fast. What do my Z brothers and sisters think?

- On a side note...I was on Autoweek.com the other day. The forum posters their totally bash our car. One went as far as to say the RX-8 is so much better looking to our fat pig. WTF?

The Z is still fairly new (under 5k), but my (our) other car is a Murano... which has pretty much the same steering wheel (except has controls for the stereo also on the wheel), and with about 25k miles, the leather on the steering wheel is VERY worn (peeling leather, scratches, etc). The balance of the leather is after market, and so far has held up very well subject to the abuse of 3 kids and a very large dog

Our cars look better and can take your car on the twistys. Plus we have heritage and blah blah blah.

I've only had one other car to compare my leather to. My other car's leather held up better, but it wasn't nearly as soft as the Z's.

Shouldn't your warranty cover something like that?

If the Rx-8 is your style go for it. I never hear any complaints about my "fat pig"!
