something wierd happened to me while taking the twisties on the los angeles crest. I was cruisin around 60+ mph and someone slow was in front of me so when the passing lane came i tried to accellerate...it wouldn't go!!! i put it in manual mode (ya i have auto) and my dash didn't have any numbers...i couldn't downshift nor upshift. I put it back on drive and there was no D indicated just a blank. Then my check engine light came on. I pulled oever and shut off my engine and start it up again and it was fine but the check engine light is still on...what could've caused this?
Help me out please???

I would just take it to the dealership.

 

may have detent problems

 

Maybe you got bad gas...

a lot of shops should be able to read the code from the car's computer and tell you why the check engine light came on.

 

ya i was runnin low on gas...and i did run outta gas on the crest :P maybe that coulda been it imma get a OBD scanner and check it out...or just do the reset SES light trick and see if it'll come back..
