32 month, 26,000 mile report on 03 Brick
I've had the Brick since 12/02 & put 26,000 miles on it.
-The car is as "tight" as the day it arrived; no rattles, shifts with the percision of a swiss watch, and runs as strong as I want.
-Defects have been limited to some feathering (but got 24,000 miles on OEM tires), grease streak, & paint pitting on front bumper.
-I've performed every maintance per schedule & spent less than $300 on maintenance
-The car still gets a bunch of attention where ever I go.
-The only mod has been replacement of the stock (pathetic) stero with a $1600 upgrade (HU, speakers, sub-base, & amp). Raised my enjoyment of the Zzzz a bunch.
-The car ergonomics fit me to a T, the ride has been fine (and improved with the change to Toyo T1 Rs), & I love the wide, strong power band of the engine.
I've been, and am, a "happy camper".
Out for a "scoot"!

Finally we hear some good things....a lot of peeps on here just b*tch and then other people don't want to buy the car after hearing those kinds of things over and over. Anyways, I've got an 05 SB and its rollin over to around 5k miles right now and have no probs whatsoever.
TBR:
I'm ~12,500 miles into my brick, purchased May 29 2003, and have had similar success to yours except I did have feathering/road noise at 4000, which was rotated. I then had the tires replaced under warranty at just under 12000, so far so good. No other major issues.
I have done my own oil changes every 2-4000 miles.
I did have the trunk opening and gas lid opening TSBs performed.

05's have less problems. =(
Rat , couldn't agree more . Picked mine up on 11/02 and didn't even get the tire feathering ( as soon as it came to light , I immediately had the alignment done ).Car has been excellent ! I'm living proof that many 2003's preorders were just fine , unlike many of the horror stories circulated . I have been saying from day one : CHECK THE ALIGNMENT
!Compared to the UK where an alignment is around $ 170 US , here in the states it is still very cheap insurance to avoid the possibility of tires feathering or cupping on a car with this setup .

I got the firestone lifetime alignment and balance for $99. I've been there like 4 times already since I got new tires.
So far there's some slight feathering, but at this rate these tires will last me atleast 15 -25k miles atleast.

03 SuperBlack Touring
25,000 miles
Tranny replaced @ 17k miles....running sweet now
Had feathering but have put over 10K miles on new Re040s and wearing evenly
typical annoying problems found on most cars
STILL LOVE THE F'N CAR!

Same here, '03 Silverstone runs great. At 12K checkup,
dealer just told me they were going to replace the front tires
"just to be sure I stayed happy with the car and to avoid any
feathering problems". Otherwise, no streaks on the windows,
no problems fueling up, no problems with the hatch or gas
door, and it shifts like a dream. This in one great car, still!

TBR, same story here. I took delivery of my '03 Chrome Silver on 8/02 and now it reads 63,600 miles on the odometer. It has been coast-to-coast (attending the last 3 National Z Conventions), and has been on the track 8 times. My car is also as tight as the day I took delivery. Feathering has been encountered - in concert with others, I cannot re-emphasize enough that the key is maintaining periodic alignment to prevent recurrence! My original OEM RE040s were replaced at 20,000 miles with Eagles that went 36,000 on the front and 31,000 on the rears. I am on my second set of Eagles now. Daily driver-track car-car show entrant. I am really enjoying this car!
