My car is a lease...

I bet no one can get as bad as I got...

$4000 down
$694 per month for 48 months
$10,500 buy out at the end of the lease...

all for a grand total of $45,730 to buy my car... OUCH! then again, I was upside down on my trade in...

I did NOT get my car at Performance NISSAN. I wasnt working here at the time. If I did I wouldnt have gotten raped this bad...

Default Apparently I pushed some buttons ...

with my “leasing” post. If you are leasing a 350Z, fine with me. There are quite a few ways to drive a new 350Z, and this forum can be an open discussion about the advantages and disadvantages of each. If a lease suits your financial situation, go for it.

My bad david, got a little carried away there with my post. I got mine for $430/month for 5 years. Then the residual is... 11000. All in all it's a lot better than the p.o.s eclipse I had. Anywho, to answer the thread, lease or not, people can't tell when you're driving it. I would definitely bargain for something around $420, no more, go in there and tell the dealer if he wants to work with you, if not walk out. Trust me, you can get it that low, if they want to sell it.

What does the lease say about car modification?

If you lease, and plan on keeping it at the end of the lease, you can mod the hell out of it. Of course, you still have to keep in mind modding the car can void warranties.

If, however, you intend to turn it in at the end of the lease, then you have to put the original parts back on it at the end.

I see. How about an alarm and such?

Yup, you can do anything you want to it, if you are going to keep it at the end of the lease. New stereo, wheels, alarm, F/I, whatever, won't break your lease.

i got my 2005 SB Base model for $26k flat, $0/down. TTL cost comes out to about high $27K. I leased mine for $498.63/month for 60 months, 15,000 miles per year. My commute consists of 12 miles per day so gas/mileage is never an issue! i'm also not locked into the lease with my deal. I can trade the car in any time i want to for any other car. I planned originally to keep the Z for no more than 3 years but its so good to me i may just keep the damn thing, we'll see after a few more years. So if you don't plan to keep the car, then sure get a lease and get a deal where the lease doesnt lock you in so you can get another car whenever you feel ready to. The guys at North Texas Nissan in denton, TX where i got mine were great!

2005 CS Touring for 31500
w/ 5500$ down I financed about 28 and change (after tax, tag, and title)
My payments (non lease) are approx. 550$.

As far as fitting into the car, its got plenty of leg and head room. I'm 6', about 225 lbs, and the only problem I have is fitting my fat a$$ in the seat.

Dude, they really took advantage of you, if you're leasing a Z for 7 bills a month for 48 months :wtf:

Does it have anything special in it like Navi, better rims, a body kit or something like that?

Now that I'm thinking about it, I may purchase instead of lease because I have the cash for a downpayment. My target monthly payment would be 500 bucks, I'll have to go to a dealer and see what kiind of deal I can get. I am going to wait until October or November before buying it though, I dont care about having the newest 06 and I'd rather get a good deal on an 05.

Another reason I need to buy it is because I drive 50 miles a day for work, 25 to Ft Lauderdale from Miami and 25 back

And yes, gas has been a killer so far - is the Z easy on the gas tank for city driivng?

Im planning on getting an '05 Touring (Coupe) with yellow exterior and the delearship in my place quoted me $32,900+ on it. I was wondering, since August is almost done, do you guys think I can get this (Buying, that is)for not more than $29K?
Thanks guys!

I would guess that if you want a OTD price of less than 29k$, you will need to get an enthusiast model. 05 touring should be around 32k$ I would imagine. Dont they also add like 500$ for the yellow paint job?
