Is it true that the tank holds 20 gallons of fuel?

I thought it was only 11 or 12 gallons.

My fuel gauge is usually close to empty after only running on about 9 gallons.

 

I thought it was an 18 gal tank. I know it's at least that. 20 sounds right.

 

I always thought it was a 16 gallon tank. But I haven't checked my manual or anything.

Thanks everyone! Guess I can wait 2 weeks instead of one to refill my tank! Boy, that will sure hurt in the wallet when I do though.

 

I don't think anyone has ever put more than about 18 gallons in one and there are stories of people going 100 miles after the DTE says 0.

 

is there a fuel light? if its 20 gallon the lowest I have ever gotten my Z was 5 gallons

I think alot of people don't think the tank is 20 gallons, because the low fuel light typically goes on early. Whenever I fill up based on when the light goes on, I only end up putting 15-16 gallons in. If I can wait awhile longer, I can put in 17-18 gallons. The car has some endurance!
