First of all... Congratulations. When I was 16 I wanted a Mitsubishi Starion. I ended up with a Ford Escort!

Finally, with $300 buy a used JWT popcharger(check the classifieds, one pops up about once a week) and window tint.

For me there is no question: short shifter.

You can also get anti-roll bars, but they won't affect the fun factor anywhere near as much as a shifter, IMO.

Save it for gas money. You're 16 and I know you like driving your car. At $3.00/gal on gas.....and your friends wanting to ride all the time.....you need that gas money
