Unhappy Death of a classic Z

Couple friends and I were going to DC last night and decided to take the back roads for a little fun. Friend in his 280ZX was in front of me and took a turn way to fast and ended up drifting toward an oncoming car, he swerved out of the way through a fence and ended up hitting a telephone pole at the rear of his car. Looking at the pics you can see how lucky he was
BTW this was a 1981 Datsun 280ZX with only 26k miles!

so sad, glad they are OK. Hence the reason I don't speed in the Z on the road, to many dangers

Oi..I had a 79..she had 49K miles, superb condition. But the one thing that scared was the fact that she was old, and no matter how many miles, age will wear a car down. I didn't want to get in an accident to find that out the hard way..so I upgraded. I miss her a bit...b/c she had great character, but boy o boy...
