My speedo tells me I'm avg'ing 20.5 miles but the last time I calculated it was more around 22 miles. I shift around 2500-3000.

The best I have gotten, all highway, was 24mpg. what's your driving style like?
I easily average 24 mpg with mixed driving (city and freeway). I averaged going to vegas (btw 100 to 120mph) 24 mpg and on the way back at (75mph) i was getting 30+MPG

Didn't think so.

Does the gage show instant or average MPG? If instant, it's pretty useless for telling you about fuel efficiency. Reset the tripometer, fill up, drive until near E, fill up gain and divide the miles driven by the number of gallons put in to get MPG.

Don't need to do that. Just reset the MPG calculator every time you fill up. It is accurate.

The gage (MPG and average MPH) works pretty well. If you reset, drive for, say, 100 miles, then the average MPH is accurate. If fact, average MPH is more accurate than a driver saying “mostly city” or “mostly highway.” With average MPH you can compare one driver to another.

Does the MPG dislay show MPG in terms of "instant" MPG or "average" MPG? If it's instant, then a lot of people are posting that they "get" 33 MPG etc which isn't a true reflection of fuel economy.

I got 29mph at 69 adv for 620 miles and it include short stops for dinner and gas. At home, very mixed driving it's 19. I shift when I hear the exhaust...3 - 4K.

It is avg mpg / avg mph. When you first reset it your avg might be higher for the first 5 miles or so because on a long trip you will have to adjust your speed at some point for traffic, hills, or fatigue.

The most I have been able to get so far is 28.5. However that was with 32psi. I now have my tire pressure to 35psi. On my next trip I'm going to inflate the tires to 37psi. The ride will be a little rougher. However, I am pretty sure I can get over 30mpg at that point from here to Bakersfield on 5. It is straight and flat. That is with our 91 octane in Cali and a Popcharger.

I did notice that when I put in 96 octane the mpg increased quite a bit. I recieved about 150miles in my first 1/4 tank of gas. That was all highway. I just checked the mileage for the tank, it is 25.2mpg because I have done a lot of around town now. Avg mph is 42 at this point.

Turn off the A/C unless it's scorching heat.

Shift at 3000rpm.

That's about as good as it will get.

(Unfortunately, I run lower pressure, leave A/C on all the time, shift at 4-6k usually...haha)
Lol yeah i know its hard to shift at 3
