350Z vs Alfa Romeo 147 GTA
I guess its just one of those days-
My friend was arguing that a Alfa 147 GTA (which he just bought) can take out a Z (0-60)- Now i cant prove him wrong before i get mine in November so if any of you know, hook me up with the info (i'm at work so i barely had time to write this up
)

from autoweek:
POWERTRAIN: 3.2-liter, 250-hp, 222-lb-ft V6; fwd, six-speed manual
CURB WEIGHT: 2998 pounds
0-60 MPH: 6.2 seconds (mfr.)
also, they list MPG at 13.8 average!!!!
i think your Z will beat it easy enough

Why r u concerned with 0-60times? If thats the most important thing for you maybe you should consider some FI v8 mustang. Both of the cars mentioned have much more to offer then just a 0-60 times...
Alfa Romeo are fuuuuun cars. I know, because I used to have 145 2.0l one. I test drove the 147 & 156 in GTA versions... and the cars are really bad a$$. The only bad thing is the gas consumption.. they like gas a lot.
On the other hand... the engine vibe is sweet. The engine "sings" once you rev it high.

From 0-60 the Z would win.
But 0-125 (0-200 km/h) I guess the Alfa would be faster, because the Alfa 156 GTA (with the same engine) is. (According to the german car magazine "sport auto")

my last car was an Alfa, and ive driven many GTA's
theyre as quick as a 330i Beamer, with a little more top end power
ive lined up friends with GTA's in the Z and easily pulled 2-3 car lengths by 100km/h

the new range of cars are a big improvement
4wd on the V6 sedan, and a 4wd V6 Brera coupe with 260hp. Not alot, but there will be a twin turbo 4WD GTA version packing 420-450hp a few years after its initial release........and plenty of cup holders to appeal to US buyers
