Default My car was egged!!!

My car was egged last night, big deal, just wash it off right? Well...they managed to remove a chunk of my paint too
I know it wasn't anything personal, but I'm so upset because I don't normally park my car in unfamiliar neighborhoods, but my friend said it was "safe".
I didn't even know an egg can do that!!!!

That's bullcrap. Why someone would do something to someone else's car and carry eggs around with them for that purpose will always be beyond me.

Sexi Z,

Sorry to hear that man. My car was egged too when I was parking on my driveway when the car was 3 months old. The fact that I live in the culdesac pisses me more.

I think I know the person who did it because other neighbors have been egged by him. I just cannot prove it. I did confront the bastard, but he denied it. In my younger days, I would have beat the Sh$t out him just by assumption.

I spent 700 bucks on security camera.

Btw, my car had spider like scratches.

Tony

Default Throwing eggs might seem like seem like fun...

but they will damage paint. And of course paint is expensive to repair.

Default Insurance covers??

So would this be something insurance would fix if the paint is ruined? Just wondering.

Thanx guys, I'm sorry for those of you whose cars have been egged too. It's just horrible that we try to take such good care of our cars and someone has to be immature for a night. insurance would fix it, but my deductible is 1000 bucks, not worth it.
It's just my luck cuz a few weeks ago, some lady backed up into my car while parking. A dent here, scratch there, I don't even wannna fix it anymore.

True. I carry a $500 deductible, and keep $500 in the bank for incidences such as this. Repairing vandalism, such as this, is usually paid for out-of-pocket.

We had some egging in my neighborhood for almost two years. My Z got it once, but a lot of people, in a huge area like 25 square blocks, got egged almost every weekend all summer and intermitently throughout fall and spring. It actually made the local news because of the number of complaints and police reports filed. Someone finally caught decent footage on a security camera he bought just to stop it. They showed it on the news, was an older white Toyota pickup with two teens in the bed throwing eggs at damn near anything they could while driving down the street. The plates were visible and the police made four arrests when all said and done. I forget what the punishment handed them was, but a lot of people didn't think it enough as two of the boys families got it bad from the community when their houses were egged with several hundred eggs, and tires were slashed repeatedly. One of them eventually moved. Mine wasn't bad at all, no chipped paint, but my neighbor's Audi needed to have a fender be repainted, as the egg was on all day (sat.) before he came out and noticed it. It had baked in the sun and discolored the red paint. It cost less than his deductable, so he didn't report it to the insurance to avoid having a comp claim on file. I would say this is good advice, and if it continues, get a camera on a tripod and catch the bastards.
To the dude with the senile old bag driving the Jag, I applaud your patience in not ending her life prematurely. I don't think I could have handled that like a rational person.

wtf?! sorry but I couldn't help but laugh at that old lady. She's obviously too senile to be able to drive if she can't tell that that wasn't a freaking parking spot.
