Default Dealer Scrathced my car! UNIVERSAL CITY NISSAN.

Hi Guys I'm New to the board. Just needed some advice.

I bought my 350Z last last sunday, and brought it back to the dealer last saturday so that they can put my lojack on (waited from 9 AM to 1 PM) ... I just noticed it yesterday that my interrior particularly driver side is all scratched up, my side panel and my side skirt... the worst thing is my side skirt, you can tell that a screw driver did it. I think when they were trying to access something under the steering wheel the mechanic left his screw driver in his back packet and scratched my car...

can I still complain about this? this is at Universal CIty NISsa!

Ooh...when I used to have an Altima, I took it to them to install my OEM
replica spoiler.
When I got my car back, luckily I noticed chipped paint on my spoiler immediately
and complained...they ended up giving me a brand new original OEM spoiler for free...

The service folks at UCN are all pretty nice...who was your service advisor?
You know, it would've been better if you spotted it right on the spot and
complain...
Go ahead and take it back to them...it doesn't hurt to try.

In my experience it is best to immediately take it back as soon as possible, show them the damage, and hope they help you out. I had a similar problem occur about 6 months ago. My car suffered massive hail damage all over. I took it into service for repairs which took about 3-4 weeks. When I came to pick it up I noticed a "few" "minor" problems.
1. Not all the hail damage was properly fixed.
2. There was a huge dent near my driver side door handle.
3. Long deep scratches that ran along the entire bottom of the side skirt as if someone had run over a curb.
4. They had to paint a portion of the door and there was dripping along the entire bottom of the driver door.
5. (My personal favorite) My Z emblem, driver side, had been scratched or nicked or whatever and it was drawn over in SHARPIE MARKER!

Needless to say I was a little agitated as I had just lost another scratcher ticket. I took it back the next day, blew a gasket, figuratively, and had everything replaced, no charge, and very promptly. Good luck with everything

Always try to work it out at the dealer level first. Dont call up looking to cut someones head off, just calmly let them know what the problem is. If they will not help thats when you call Nissan corporate and explain to them the problems and the difficulty you are having with a dealer that is supposed to be representing their company. I recently scored a brand new transmission in a vehicle because the service manager told me my bad transmission would be a covered replacement. Then thay backed out and asked me for $4500.00 to pay for a replacement transmission. One call to Honda Corporate got me an offer of a free transmission within 12 hours if I agreed to pay the labor charges for the install. Now I'm dumpping my 2 dr accord for a Z. Thanks Honda!

i stay away from them period. I did buy my 02 altima from them, but after dealing with them post-sale, (for service), i stayed away. I even went there when i was looking for my Z hoping they'd make me a deal since i was a previous customer.. they didn't give a crap... i wouldn't go back there if they gave me free oil changes...

call up the dealership and ask for the Customer Relations Manager...and tell him/her what happend....they should be able to take care of it for you....if you purchased the vehicle new, most dealerships are afraid of what you might put in your Customer Service Index survey, so they will usually take care of minor stuff for you...

Universal City Nissan is terrible... search around, you will find a lot of people that feel the same way i do. Take your car to Performance Nissan or Superior Nissan...

UNIVERSAL CITY NISSAN SUCKS!

I've been transfered 6x and twice on the same person.

My service Advisor was Melvin and I'm still on hold as we speak!

Where is Performance Nissan?

I got all the review papers and I am going to fail them so bad.

I tried to be nice but I waited from 9 AM to 1 PM last saturday for a lojack install. and this is what I get... this is enough... I'll get them back I'll fail them on their review!
