If youre strictly buying the Z for performance, then go with the track. If you're looking for a balance of a luxurious, comfortable car and a sports car.. go for the touring.

edit: maybe calling the touring Z luxurious was a stretch.. let's just say a car with a few more amenities than the track..

I have a touring. The main reason I bought it, other than the deal they offered me, is the color combination. I find the black interior on the Z's to be almost depressing, the car is too small for all that darkness and my Frost interior really brightens it up. I've had tons of compliments on how my car really stands out and the only difference is the not too often seen Frost interior.

go for a track because it has brembos and the car stands out more, also it got the 300hp as opposed to the 287hp. when u ride in the track people know u got top of the line Z.. if u dont wanna stand out get a enthusiast...go for the touring only if u need leather.

Cool

I got the touring, but mainly because i got a great deal. 2004 used with 172 miles only for 27k.

But never considered the Track version because of 260lb/ft of torque vs. 274lb/ft on other models. Although it does have more h.p. 300 vs 287, i feel torque was more important.

that is my .02cents. I would buy a performance and change everything, but still would not have leather.

Drive them both if you can. Do you want to "Drive" the car or "cruise around" ?

From the driver's stand point, the only difference you might notice is the brake pedal feel. The Brembos are easier to modulate and give more feedback. But, can you use it ?

I don't doubt your driver skills, but discerning the difference between both models require a lot of attention. Not many people notice anything different between all the Z trims, except for the leather seats.
