Well a bike hit me. I know what your thinking ...uh couldnt have done much eh? Well think again a 900lb steel bike hitting your parked Z at 40mph does a lil damage. The guy wasnt paying attention and lock up the rear brakes. Ditched the bike and it continued to slide perfectly into my rear right quarter panel. It smashed the bumper, hatch, Invidia N1 exhaust, NIMSMO wing, right rear quarter is rolled up into the wheel scratching the hell out of the wheel, and the gas tank lid wont close right.....so what should I do?
Plus the car is up for sale which this isnt going to help that at all...
Thanks guys!!!

King Tut ..thanks for the common sense answer.
I have to meet the adjuster tommorow ( Nationwide ). My general concern was addressed to those individuals that have aftermarket parts and have been involved in accidents where those parts were damaged.
Thanks.

Most companies cover up to a certain amount of additional aftermarket parts installed and then allow you to pay more for more coverage. But as far as the exhaust the cost of an OEM exhaust could be factored in which is probably more than an aftermarket tell them the wing came on the car as well since it is Nismo. You'll be fine. I am sure you will get enough money to cover everything.

yeah, she was a highschool girl who offered to try and wash the scratches out with a broom, but only because she like his pink shirt so much

his insurance company should cover aftermarket parts as long as you can prove that they were on your car. Most shops will be willing to work with the insurance company to bring your car back to the pre-accident condition. If he didn't have insurance, then your insurance company may or may not cover those parts.

OK let me explain this again. I have talked to the iNS company they are looking at the car tommorow. What are they going to do about things like exhaust ... do they keep the bent one? The lady said once they get an estimate they woudl write me a total check for the cost of everything.
depends on the insurance company.... in my past experiences they will try and lowball you but you have to stay firm and say that you want it all covered. The point of insurance is to compensate for your loss and put your car back to Pre-Accident condition (not put it back to stock). That being said, dealing with insurance companies is never easy and it may be easier to bring it to a trusted shop that is certified by the motorcycle driver's insurance company and have them hash it out. Frederick nissan got my one greddy sideskirt, front bumper, and even a centercap for my dtm kreuz wheels covered by my insurance.

when you get hit with aftermarket parts as long as it isnt your fault the other insurance company has to put it back to the condition it was when you were driving it...
Guess you don't trailbrake or use a slipper clutch much, lol. Since you are not at fault and you are not dealing with your insurance company they have to replace the parts that were on the car during the accident with "like kind and quality" to quote a term from case law.
