Default Just picked up my Z today

Hey guys, I'm sure some of you have seen me before. I registered on this site a few weeks ago, and have been lurking for information since then. I finally decided on the Z, and picked up my brand new 05, base Pikes Peak White 350Z 6MT. Got a pretty good deal I think. I got it for $24,300... About $26,500 out the door. So far I've done nothing but drive it home from the dealership! But I can't wait to take it out again. Give me a hug guys...

Default You may not sleep well tonight.

Several trips to the garage to look at the Z is OK. Doctors have yet to find a cure for this problem.

Just be weary of the desire to get in it during those random crazed looks with drool down your chin. If this desire overcomes you, follow this step by step procedure
1) Wipe drool off chin, if you fail this step you'll have to wash the interior for the 14th time that day.
2) Open door and sit in car, do not close door
3) You closed the door to the car obviously, and proceeded to start the Z, proceed to open garage door to let out exhaust
4) Do not let hand throw Z into reverse... too late
5) Do not pull out of driveway, if you're already on the road proceed to step 6
6) Do not enter the highway, already there? go to step 7
7) Do not go to the way left lane, of course you have already proceeded and done this.
8) Do not accelerate past 65mph, still accelerating?
9) ok screw it, friggin enjoy yourself

Congrats Potator. Welcome to the fam. There is a Z meet in Orange County this Saturday at Hooters in Anaheim. Check out Southern Cali forums. You can show off your new baby there.

Default Congratulations!!

Congrats on your new car. I have a PPW as well. Are you going to do any mods? I recommend the JWT Popcharger and a new exhaust to start....if you are going to mod.

Yeah, many trips to your garage just to look at it is not out of the ordinary. Enjoy.

If you didn't own a Z it's ok too because I woke up from a drunken night in one as well.

Thanks guys. By the way, do you guys know if all Z's are fully built in Japan and shipped over whole? Like the S2000's are? I thought they were, but on my window sticker paper that came with my Z, it says Final Assembly point: Los Angeles.

Doesn't make any sense. All Z's are built in Japan, hence the 8-12 wk wait for a special order. Are you sure you are not confusing it with Port of Entry?

Yeah... Maybe we should start a topic asking people to post their "Final Assembly Point" locations. Or is there already a thread on this?

All 350Zs are made in Japan. They come off the boat just like the sticker says. The only thing which might be “added” is coolant, wiper fluid, battery fluid...

Out of curiosity, I checked the sticker from my old Miata, and it's final assembly was Japan. Our Rav4 doesn't have a final assembly point listed, but it has the port listed as Jacksonville. Maybe Nissan just lists the port where the car is received as the final assembly point.

Hmm.. That is an interesting theory, it seems believable too, because you're from Florida, and I'm assuming you bought your Z there as well, locally. And for your Z, the "final assembly point" is listed as Jacksonville. I'm from southern California, and I just bought my new 05 Z locally here as well, and my final assembly point is listed as Los Angeles. So like you have pointed out, Nissan may just list the final assembly point as the port where the car was received. Lets gather some more information from others on this board to either further prove this theory or see if it's wrong.

congrats on the new Z. i couldnt resist myself to go to the garage about 10 times a day and half the time sit inside and listen to music. if you start making excuses just to go out and drive, then you really have become one of us. have fun!!
