Question Anyone received tire refund check yet?

Just checking to see if any of you guys have received your refund check back from nissan for reimbursement of the front tires? I know the original letter said, please allow 3 to 4 weeks for refund. Its been right about 4 weeks since I faxed my stuff in and no refund as of now.

I received my refund check less than a week after I faxed the receipt to them. I was very very impressed by Nissan, they even called every few days to check up and make sure everything was going smoothly. They made up for things big time in my opinion

I didn't anthing. They are putting them on and doing a front endalignment at no cost out of my pocket. All because of the letter Nissan sent out about the noise heard when at low speed or when coming to a stop. The dealership here has been excellent in service.

Anyone know if there is a number I can call and check on the refund? Is it through Nissan consumer relations?

I faxed them my documentation 8 weeks ago, and still had not heard anything back from them.

I just called them at 800-343-0294, and all they were able to confirm is that they received everything and are processing my claim. They could not give me an ETA as to when my claim may be settled.

NNA will only refund your front tires if they are the original Bridgestone Potenza's?...that came on the car correct? Im planning on getting a set of Dunlops but now im wondering will they refund my money even if it is a different brand? they are the same size as the oem tires as well.....

Thanks for the telephone number. I telephoned Nissan. My claim has been processed and approved for a $320 reimbursement. The approval has been forwarded to finance. A check for that amount will be mailed to my house. Cool.

I believe that I answered the question above. The latest feathering SB applies to the replacement of OEM tires only.

My notion of getting a refund anytime soon has been squashed. I got a call for Nissan today. They have “misplaced” the invoices which I mailed. Not only do they want the invoices, but I must include credit card statements showing that I was billed for the tires. Damn it looks like I'm back to square one: just where I began two months ago.

What do you think of my situation...

Nissan replaced my front tires when it was 21Kmiles for feathering and when it came to 40Kmiles I had the same problem so went back to nissan then they said they cant give me free tires anymore even though i only owned the car for only a year. So I called nissan north america spoke w/ an agent and she did her research on my acct anyways she called the dealership and they agreed that they'll give me new tires. When i got to the dealer they say that they are a backlog on the tire orders. So i waited and waited and it took 6mos.

Finally i stopped by that dealership and its in a different management for the service dept. To my surprise they cant find the order for my tires. They said they cant do anything about it since its not in their system. So i got fedup and just decided to buy my own tires.
Sorry for that long story...

So what do u think? You think they'll refund me for the tires that i bought? I'll call that 800# and let you guys know.

Thanks!

From my understanding of the situation, NNA will replace the worn front tires with Bridgestone Potenza RE040s of the same OEM size.

You can purchase new tires on your own (RE040s or other) and NNA **should** refund the cost of the front tires and perform the front end alignment provided that the tires are factory size.

As for proof, I haven't read about the aftermarket tires being bought by NNA here, but on 350zmotoring.com I have read of someone having been refunded for buying Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s.

Guys,

I was told by an agent at NNA that they will refund you the cost of new front tires as long as you are replacing the originals or even a second set (as in my case) of OEM Bridgestones. You are allowed to purchase Michlins or Goodyear tires as replacements and you have to stick to OEM size or you can go from 45's to 50's on the height.

I sent in all my paperwork about two weeks ago so I should get a check soon...........like maybe next spring if I'm lucky.

So when I called 2 weeks ago (after an 8 weeks wait) they gave me my case # and told me it was processing. Since it had now been 10 weeks without a word from them, I called them back and was put on hold while they looked into it.

They are now asking me to re-fax everything!! When I asked what happened, they said "they could not comment" (not trying to be offensive to anyone, but I hate when customer support is in India as there is no way to get anywhere). They are "guaranteeing" me that they claim will be processed within 10 days...

This is BS!
