WOW!

It was drizzling and the roads were wet in nyc.

i've been learning how better to work *with* the vdc.

it was great! felt just as stable and was certainly more fun than a ff car.
the amt of slip/slide the vdc allows you to get then lightly eases away yields a very pleasing, intuitive yet thoroughly unwavering edge to the handling.

kudos nissan

How do you guys like VDC?

Aside from the obvious benefits on poor weather traction - does it help?

I think the Zs performance is improved whaddya guys think?

Default MY 2 cents

I think they did an awsome job, I leave my on most of the time, and try to test its limits. Of course I did that w/ my supra TT one time, and almost went off a bridge ( I was 18). The Z on the other hand, I turned it off one time and spun around in a parking lot, when I was finished the Slip light on the dash was constantly lit up, even when I wasn't doing anything. I simply turned the car off and back on, it quickly resolved the problem. Great OPTION. HOGAN

The advantage of VDC is that it reacts to a danger situation before the driver realizes the situation is out of control. Several times cornering on rain-slick roads the "intrusion" - as some call it has squared the rear end before I could have responded. It makes me chuckle then I hear posters boast about how they know how to drive and think VDC is taking the driving control away from them. It kicks in when the driver has already lost control. Could they recover? Possibly but with much slower response time and greater chance disaster. You cannot drive the car safely and with spirit on wet road without it on.

if there was no switch to turn it off, I would have a problem. No doubt you can take it a tad farther then it lets you and still remain in control. but I can admit that I am not always 100% "there" sometimes you begin to daydream. or bad weather pops up. for those times, no price is too great for safety.

if they said they could give you a 1 in 1000 chance of saving you from an accident. for 2000$. would you take it? thats the way I look at it, except they dont even charge 2000$ for it. maybe a few hundred.

ares, you make a great point. The VDC never loses its focus like mere we mortals.
