My only issue with this car has always been the same. For some reason and I can't quite put my finger on why, I have always hated the interior.

I guess I'm one in the few that still dig the flip-ups. They were part of the original design and they're not so obvious like other flip-up lights. The headlights come up snug past the hood, but still sit very low.

Seeing a flip-up with retrofitted projection HID's is awesome.

The later model built in lights are cool, but seems like an afterthought that was never intended for the original lines of the car.

The glory alone of the mid engine NA roar behind your head is enough for me to switch over if it was possible. Toda ITBs and aftermarket aggressive cams to boot will make it a screamer and with the inherent low stance wide body it should handle great needless to say. Great Choice I would jump at the opportunity with the quickness. Past generation its the 69 mustang in mint condition classic while in my opinion (just mine) the NSX is my 69 mustang when I get older. Awesome car for the money.

Yeah, I actually like the flip up lights too....and the HID kit was one of the first mods I did. Wasn't even that expensive either.

I love driving this car.

Here's the update guys. I looked at a 91 today and had it checked out. It only has 50k on it and my mechanic said it drove better than the 97! Only thing is no targa top . But, has black interior vs the tan one on the 97. I'd rather have the darker. Plans for it? Wheels and drop first. Not sure if I'll get it painted yet, too much work involved to get it done right, we'll see. Bodykit, and ofcourse, Overlays .

If you plan on a bodykit, just have the car painted at that time. Why have a mild manner paint scheme on such a hot car.

Personally, I think you should buy both of them and send one to me.

Well, the exhaust is already on it, plus I've done an intake scoop, air filter and some engine dress up (aluminum coolent tank, throttle body cover). Most of the stuff I've done has been little creature comforts, etc. (shift boot, ****, etc)

My next big mod will be rims/springs/sways. But that's a few months away. In the meantime I'm upgrading the stereo/sub.

Mileage...hmmm. I'm getting about 360-380 miles on a tank filling it with 15gal of fuel. So that's about 25miles/gal.
Mixed highway/city.

It really depends how you drive the car too...if you stay under 4k rpm, you're not hitting the vtec, and you're driving a pretty fuel efficient car.

I think it's a little but better than my Z, which was getting around 22 or so daily driving.

You won't notice much change switching over.

Actually Nexx, I do like to hear from people who are leaving because they got another sweet vehicle.

However, I could care less to hear from someone that says they MIGHT be getting another vehicle.

How many miles does it have?
How much you paying for it?
From my understanding it will also cost more to repair I beleive.
Peace!

+1....I would never buy a car that is that old unless I needed a beater.

Have a friend who debated this same question. He had an FD he totalled and was looking to buy a new car. He was debating between a MKIV and an NSX. He decided on the MKIV because of the service charges to get the NSX worked on were very high. He mentioned that clutch changes were frequent and very pricey as well...may want to consider those "hidden costs of ownership" before you get the NSX, but either way best of luck to you.

What an odd statement.

I would kill to have one of the great 'beaters' from the 60's and 70's.

I guess you would not want to own one of these 'beaters'?
1970/1971 426 hemi Cuda or a 1968 GTO or 1973 TR6 or a 1967 Datsun 2000

I have been finding that owner's of the 350Z fall into two types.
The first is a TRUE car enthusiast and the other is simply into show and I don't mean a show car either.

The felllow buying the NSX is a true car enthusiast and I know which camp you fit into.
