I have an oppourtunity to obtain a '97 NSX. I've always loved this car, and now I have the chance to own one. Unfortunately, in doing this, I will need to part ways with my Z . I'd keep the Z, but I also need to get a 4 door as well to haul my new arrival in a few months. This deal isn't a sure thing yet, but at the moment it's looking pretty good.

As much as I love my Z, the NSX has been a car I've been wanting for the longest time. hp was boosted to 290 starting with the 97 models. Up from 270hp. Nothing to brag about by todays standards, but nevertheless still good.

Tell you what I too love my Z to death but the NSX is a sexy-a$$ car that will turn more heads than a Z....If I had the chance I would do it today and not look back. I always like the NSX and it has been one of my fav along with a Detomaso Pantera also..

yep...That aggressive negative camber causes accelerated tire wear from what Ive read...But its a small price to pay for an incredible car...The Z is not far off from its performance envelope and hey we got feathering ....Would like to hear how they compare seat of the pants-wise...NSX is little bit faster but Im thinking the acceleration would feel the same...Great opportunity Bat that I wouldnt pass up either Hope you get it soon...

I'm in the process of getting the car checked out. It's in pristine condition. Unfortunarely it's red, but hey, when I saw it in person I fell in love with it. I was thinking of getting it repainted, but people tell me nothing tops the origional factory paint. Your thoughts on this?

While the NSX is a bit more exotic, I actually prefer the looks of the 350z, believe it or not.

Does this mean you're not going to sell 350z overlays anymore?

I agree, my taste must be very different to all the people who like NSX. I always pass them by when at car shows. I don't give them a second glance on the road. I guess the lines are not in my taste.

Blue Batmobile, good luck on your decision. Please don't take offense to my views. I am probably in the minority on not liking the looks of the NSX.

 

Repaint it Daytona Blue in memory of your Z, besides its the blue that makes our cars faster
