How long does your new tires last?
I bought my 350 used with 17,000 miles. Everything is in great condition except for the tranny and clutch. The only thing new is the tires Yoko ES100, they grip really good and looks really good too. I've been hearing alot about feathering, but haven't noticed anything yet. How far along until you really start to notice? Anyone

I have 27K on my stock rear tires and I bought my car new, but the front tires have too much tread to be original so I assume the person before me had the fronts replaced and the alignment fixed. I don't have feathering but I do have tire roar when stopping.

On EOM Track wheels, dual use street/track. No drag racing, only full circuits HPDE, plenty of rear wheel steering, VDC OFF most of the time.
Did 21k miles since mid-March, 9 track days, I’m on my third set of rears and second fronts. My next track event is scheduled for early October, I’ll probably need a new set after that…
Crazy huh!?

"Why are you called Brickyard Rat?"
"Rat" is basically my web identity. It comes from sports collectible sites. Another web sports guy & I had a "feud" over the Cowboys (him) & 49ers (me). He starting labeling me as a "rat". Others picked it up. I went with the flow & had fun (only reason to be on websites) with the name by adopting it.
I added "Brickyard" for the Z sites because thats the color of my Zzzz

My rear tires lasted about 30k but they were pretty bad by then.
My first set of front tires lasted about 13k and the second set lasted about 17k.

the inner tread of both my front and rear tires looked like a receeding hair line at 20,000 miles...of course my dealer called it "within spec". whatever...I put on my new rims and kumho mx tires, got an alignment, and haven't had a problem yet. however its only been about 2,300 miles.

Does tire tread get eaten up real quick at first and then slow down as the tire gets worn in? I'm getting that feeling as in the first 1000 miles the tires got eatin ALOT on easy driving and occasional freeway brawls....like 5 or 6 of them only to 90 or 100 at most. Then for the next 500 i got almost none?! Drove exactly the same route and same say...
