Just turned 25 in January this year. Bought the Z in November, last year, and the rate was $760 every 6 months, with Allstate. Switched to Geico, for $525 every 6 months. Just had my first accident, rate went to $850. Full coverage. Gonna switch to Nationwide, cause they quoted me $319 every 6 months, with my accident, and multiple policy, cause I'd need renter's insurance too.

I don't think being under your parents policy counts

21, Progressive= $220/m. But they make you do a prepay of a certain amount. I have to put down like $300 and now the payments are $191/m. tehre not bad because I can add my 2 jetski's for less then what Im paying now.

EXACTLY!!!!!
but we don't get snow messing up our cars.. and we can drive with the top down/windows open all year long

i was amazed at some of these prices people have in those "other" states. here in Los Angeles insurance is stupid expensive.
I live in an area where there are considerably expensive cars around like ferraris, lambos, maybachs.. etc. so if you have cheap low coverage insurance and you hit something like that... youre pretty much screwed! i saw one of the posters father told him that his insurance was high because they had high coverage.. its expensive but its definatly smart because **** happens.

Go with Mercury man! They give awesome rates. im 23, 2 at fault accidents I wasn't at fault for either, but I got screwed by the other party, and one was weather related.) and I pay 165 a month for full coverage. If you have a clean record you will pay much less than that. Oh, and I live in what is considered a high theft probability area. I am close to a port and a border. It doesn't get worse than that. If you go Mercury you could be looking at about 100 bucks a month or so. State Farm quoted me almost 4K for a 6 month coverage. They are taking you.
