"We appreciate our pre-sell people hanging in there with us, so we will spend some money to deliver the news to you in a cool way...all I'm prepared to say."
and
"Ad campaign starts in Sept. so final specs will not be the story. Hint: Don't change your address."
I think regular postal service is too unpredictable. I'll bet Nissan will use commercial next day express service (reasonable cost), so all pre-order customers can get it the same day, i.e. July 2nd.
I hope they don"t use regular mail. My mail would normally go through the Hamilton, NJ post office that's still closed due to the Anthrax attack. Now all my mail goes through a North Jersey post office and is delayed by up to a week.
btw, I received my 350Z playing cards just last month and they had been irradiated. Needless to say I threw them away before opening.

I suspect that you are correct about them not using the postal service because he said NOT to change your address. The Postal Service would just forward your mail but I don't believe that Fedex would forward it.
I didn't get anything from Nissan about my pre-order, but I did get a promo packet for the G35 from Infinity. Really bad marketing from my perspective. I've been waiting patiently for my Z and I get a tantalizing advert for what is basicly the same car (I know they are different, just work with me here
). I for one have no interest in the G35, but to many who are wavering, this could be an incentive to bail and go look at a car they can have now (sedan anyway).
BTW, I don't know why I got the infinify packet. I'm not on any Infinity mailing lists.
I also got a mailer from MB this week. Lots of car info, but not the one I want.
I've waited this long, what a few more days.

Well we would have, but then Jay ran to the mailbox....uh I guess it wasn't that funny the first time, guess it would be less funny as a rerun. In the immortal words of Emilly Letelle....NEVER MIND THEN.

I just received my surprise information packet on the Z. Contrary to the C & D article, the curb weight for the base is 3,188 and enthusiast is 3,197. The weights of the performance, touring and track models are all under the 3,300 weight that C & D reported. HP: 287 Torque: 274 lb. ft. A cool pictorial CD-ROM is included showing many different angles of the Z.
