I actually Love the Winter time! Other than snow & ice which is very rare here. Don't you just love being able to drive on the interstate all day long, and when you come home and look at your front bumper....Voila'! No damn bug splatters!

You are all just wimps
Who's afraid of a little winter weather? Just put on some winter tires and drive it like you mean it! I can't even imagine a winter without some snow - how boring can you get?
In case you were wondering, the best way to enjoy the snow is sitting in the hottub sipping your favorite beverage. Nothing beats sitting in the spa when it's 30 degrees and snowing at night!

Boomer--What I'd really like is a set of studded tires. Too bad they're illegal.

I have to travel to Dallas on Tuesday, so I will be driving the Maxima and the Z will be locked up safely in the garage. When I change over to different tires, the Z will be driven in all sorts of weather. BTW, I really like your Brickyard Touring, I have one just like it, but with the stock wheels. Beautiful color and nice wheels on yours. Which interior did you get? I got the Frost leather and 5AT, how about you? Is your Z going to be a garage queen, taken out only for jaunts in the country?

My Z sounds just like yours, Frost leather and 5AT.
I'm trying to not baby it too much, but yes, I've only really driven it for fun so far. But it's so PAINful to drive it to work and have to sit there in traffic and just hear her be mad about not moving, so what to do??? I think I'll be better about sitting in traffic once she's broken in....
But I got her up to 90 tonight - not that fast, but more difficult than it sounds when you're weaving in that damn Sunday night traffic on the 101 South (I'm not kidding) and trying to race some damn Audi until I got boxed in b/w cars and lost.

Wimps! I not afraid of winter, I'm afraid of winter drivers who don't know the first thing about how to just take it easy, instead they drive like they are in Miami and wonder why their damn brakes didn't keep them from smashinto you. I like snow and have never worried about my driving its the other kamikazes out there without a clue.

I'm a volunteer firefighter, and when we had our first snow, I listened to the scanner all night and laughed at the dozens of idiots who slid off the roads all night. They were calling for help at the rate of about 1 every ten minutes for hours.

I'm here in Central Okla. listening to cold rain come down, when I'd rather be on Highway 1 or going to Napa Valley.
What do you think of the Brickyard/Frost combination? I preordered from a tiny pic on Nissan's website and never saw or sat in one until it was unloaded from the transporter. I love the colors and the car is terrific. This is the fastest car I have ever owned and I am enjoying every minute of it. I hope you are too. Let me/us know about your experiences with the Z. Your opinion is valued by many on this site. Fresh experiences are always welcome.

You're not supposed let it idle for too long during the 1200 mile breakin period. 90mph is good, keep it up, your engine will love you for it and its fun. I don't know what part of the s.f. valley you are in but there are some wonderful sports car roads in Calif. as you know. Find some and take some curves at ridiculous speeds, just because you can.

Yes, this is by far the fastest and most fun car I've ever had. I get a rush every time I drive her (unfortunately, the faster the speed, teh greater the rush). I drove it into work on Friday Dec. 27th b/c I knew there would be no traffic to **** me off. I was passing cars at 75 (again, not that fast but it's hard to go faster in 60 mph morning commute traffic) and my husband said, Uh, you're going kind of fast. And I said, But it's FFUUUNNNNNNN!! And he laughed.
Have a great new year! I'm sort of getting too old to go out partying on New Year's Eve (being in Vegas 2 years ago cured that for me), and I want to be driving the Z at midnight, but I guess that wouldn't be the safest thing to do.
Too bad you're in OK; it'd be fun to see our twin cars. I'm trying to see who's around in LA for the Jan. 4-? Auto Show, but so far nobody's responded to my post.

The dealer told me (whether true or not) that the Brickyard/Frost combination was a rare one, and that usually Brickyard came with the darker seats, but that Nissan, whenever they made a special order for a particular customer, would make a few more models with the same features just for fun, but not as the typical model. So supposedly I have a rare color.... I'm hoping it's true.

Its fun to be able to leave traffic behind whenever you want or feel uncomfortable. I drove my wife to an app't in OKC last week and she hates being in urban freeway traffic and the Z would just glide away from any bottlenecks at speed. I also arrived about 20 minutes early to the app't which is quite unusual, pre-Z car.
I wish you a Happy New Year, too! I would like to see our cars together also, but trips to Calif. have been rare in recent years. Don't give up on the Car Show, some members here and some who also post at 350frenzy.com will be going so perusing the posts about events at both sites may bear fruit.
