The Prestige Ace is on the Hual website. Was in Norfolk on 12/21, new York on 12/22, and due in Balt on 12/24. I hope my Silverstone touring in on it.

 

Congratulations, zcar70! This is great news to us all. Those of us that ordered at about the same time (around October) are even closer to delivery now that that group of cars appears to be arriving.

I agree. It makes more sense that the cars would have been on the Prestige Ace. Its only a matter of time now...

VIN # - 010180

Delivery Date: January '03......was told it might come in early (December), but didn't happen.

 

Heres a good question. When exactly does the car show up in the Nissan Inventory?

 

I know most of this discussion is from east coast guys, but I got my VIN on 12-9. Dealer sheet is still listing delivery in "Jan" with no specific date. Hual shows a ship arriving to L.A. on 12-27. Anybody else on west coast?

BTW, anybody have a higher VIN than mine?

 

Mine never showed up in Nissan inventory. It was delivered to me 2 days after the truck dropped it off.

 

Bloody hell. To think that the nissan inventory feature was actually accurate. That was so much easier than calling the dealer every 20 minutes for us impatient people..

 

For all those people waiting for Jan. delivery..... The good news is you may get an early surprise....... .......... VIN# 7714 got the call yesterday and will take delivery Fri 12/27. Ordered 9/23. Enthusiast/Silverstone/AT. Wishing everyone a Happy and Safe New Year in their new Z's

My dealer received VIN 8516 yesterday and I picked it up today. According to the paperwork, the "final assembly point" was Elizabeth.

 

When did you order?

 

Dec. 14th...go figure. I was thinking I'd get the car around the 1st of April. There must be a surplus of Z's sitting in some ports or something.

 

Or your just really freaking lucky... I bet your dealer found one that matched your order that wasn't sold and made you a happy customer...

 

Placed my order in August (was told it would be ordered in October because they had sold all of their previous months orders). Order was placed in October, order# W212XXX. VIN received late November, 8XXX. Date on the computer is 12/28, but my dealer says anyday now. I hope its not tomorrow or day after...cuz it just freakin snowed here!

 

Mkkk. Merry Xmas to me I guess. I finaly got real confirmation from my parents that I'm getting the car. They ordered it the 18th of Oct. I am calling the dealer first thing tommorrow to see what info I can dig up.

 

Hey guys. How long did it take you guys to get your vin# after you went to the dealership and placed the order? I ordered mine and payed the 1000, i think it was hmmmm i'm guessing somewhere early december.... called the dealer a couple of times and they say they don't have any info for me yet. The day i ordered the car they said it would arrive late january or early febuary.

 

Alright so nissan consumer affairs just called me back while i was out and this is what my mom said that the woman said. My car hasn't even been built yet! It was ordered 10-18 and the bastards haven't even built it yet!. Estimated delievery Date of FEBUARY. Talk about pissing me off. I bet my dirty dealer didn't place the order till november or december. Man I am pissed.

Sorry to hear about that. Dealers can only order what their allotment allows. Apparently sometimes they take orders knowing full well that the person ordering will be somewhat down the list.

Anyway, hope things work out for you there in Charlotte. Maybe the dealer can find one sooner for you. But, at least now you know you'll have one eventually, and that's good news! Hope you had a great Christmas otherwise.
