It's probably for the best....The 94 / 95 RX-7 Twin Turbos had a bunch of problems (According to Consumer Reports and a ton of other sources).

....Not 100% sure on this, BUT I think it had to do with the combination of the Rotary Engine's BIG appetite for oil AND the high revving turbos

That's WHY they were so damn cheap on used car lots. It was a bad-azz looking car though, no doubt.

For a track car... an E36 M3 or NSX if the Z didn't exist.

Thats how i was , i was set on the STI and was on my way to the Subaru dealership to buy one when i saw my Z. I hadnt really looked at the Zs much but the Nissan and Subaru dealership are side by side and as i went buy i looked over and saw a red Z and fell in love. but i still have love for the Subarus my first car was the WRX.

3 of my friends have RX-7s and all they are is a problem i dont know how many times ive helped them put new turbos in every on has blown the motor atleast once. one of my friends got smart and traded his for an S2000, but the other 2 still have them ones a single turbo swap puttin down about 350rwhp and the other is completely stock. their a good collector car but not a daily driver by anymeans.

G35 Coupe, Evo, NSX, M3.

By the way; I was also offered a deal on a silver '93 RX-7. The car was mint. Single owner took care of his car with all the papers. 60K miles. Only wanted $10,000. Problem was, I already had the Z.

STI or the new Mustang. But I didn't fall in love with the STI until after I bought the Z. And there was a lot of pressure from my boss to go with a BMW; he would have paid half the bill if I got a bimmer, but he wouldn't go for the M3 because I just rolled my civic and nearly killed myself, so something with that much power was out of the question. Without the M3 I just didn't see the point. Needless to say I cracked open my own check book for the Z.

Toyota Prius... STI, RX-8, & EVO suck way too much gas. One of the reasons I even considered getting the Z was because of the great gas mileage it got from its V6 engine for a sports car. I rev the crap outta my car regularly on the streets and it doesn't even blip the Fuel guage, the VQ35 is awesome!

it would have been between a s2k and a sti for me. i'm still considering trading the z for a sti, and if the z wasn't so much better looking (and lots of fun to drive, even though it's a good amount slower) i'd probably be selling the Z soon.

Came down to the wire between Z and G35 until I had a serious test drive with an 2005 Performance Model 6MT...if neither of them existed probably a 330i or slightly used S2000. Never looked too closely at EVO or Sti even though they are undeniably Bad A**, but no style IMO compared to the Z.
