Davidv, I just hear a lot of people (specially in socal) complaining that there are too many Z's now on the road, so I just assumed it's everywhere in the US.
150,000 in the world, not in the US

All of a sudden I hear it rev up it's engine. That woke me up. I looked over just in time to see a guy in the driver seat of a black Pontiac Sunfire and his girlfriend hitting him in the arm saying: "Are you nuts!? That's a 350Z!"
And him saying: "Okay, okay. Fine!"

I tried not to laugh or make a smirk as to not embarress him because I remember when I was a student and driving a Celebrity I drove off at a moderate speed and hoped they enjoyed my exhaust note as much as I did. I had the biggest smile on my face.

Lately, I've been noticing people knowing what a 350Z is. Not guys, but girls and little kids. Did I miss some new Knightrider show with the 350Z as Kit or something? The 350Z is pretty rare here in my city, so I'm always surprise when girls and little kids know that the car is a 350Z.

Yeah some guy in a pontiac tried to race me once. I literally made a circle around him on a freeway. After making circles around him, I stayed right on his *** so that he could get a good view of my HID's. He must have been embarassed because he went out of his way to take the next abailable cutoff. I don't like racing but I hate it when people tailgate and try to challenge me; I was hit from behind four times in my other cars.

In evansville its a car you barley ever see. Like you might see 1 a month. I dont think there are more than 5 Z's and like 3 G coupes(no infiniti dealer). Everyone in Evanville drives a truck.

Your guess is about 50% too high. According to the stats from the Nissan-News website (http://www.nissannews.com/), the actual Z sales thru September of 2005 are 101,996.

All I know is that DC is littered with them. Anywhere you go, you will see at least one Z within 5 minutes, not to mention the all of the super exotics that the diplomats like to have imported to DC.

I thought that was a worldwide sales figure. So US sales numbers are 2/3 of that.

I never saw them untill after I got mine. I don't know if I just didnt notice them before but I dont think thats it. They are just becoming more affordable because there are a lot of used ones. I see usually 3-4 a day. I live in a small town (literally 2x2 square miles) and theres 2 other Z's in the town. Not a rich community at all either.

Semi-uniqueness is one of the advantages of the Z. The new rustang has only been out what, like 8-10 months. I see way more of them now than Z's around my area. If it weren't for ZR's there still wouldn't be that many Z's on the road here. The R's definitely popular here, mostly upper-middle aged(50ish) women driving them though.

Hehehe, it's been cool here lately and they still proudly drop their tops.

I drive through MA and RI (37miles) in my commute to the office everyday. I have seen one Z the last month! I do see a few Gs on daily basis, 3 in the office in the office parking lot.

Off topic but the G owner were standing around the Z the first day, drooling! Two out of three said they wished they bought the Z, HAHA. The third said he loves the Z , but at 65 years old the Z was a little tuff to get in an out of.

I see about 5-10 Z's a month around dallas. When I first got the car I saw about 1 to 3 per month so it seems like they are "everywhere" now but even at 5-10 a month thats pretty rare.

I see about 5 Z's a day in Dallas within a 2-3 mile radius.

Vanquish, you go to Villanova? The mainlines a rich area, so of course there will be plenty of Z's.

In Atlanta, 350Z's are anything but rare. There are a total of 3 in my parking deck everyday and 2 in my home garage every day.

Man there are 5 Z's where I work. I work in a 16 floor commercial building and I swear I was the first one here to get one. Then they started popping up everywhere. It was cooler when I was the only one...

I saw a ZR in Wall, South Dakota when I rode to Sturgis this year. All the other cars were American beaters and pickup trucks. LOL
