"Are you nuts!? That's a 350Z!"
I went out late tonight to get some gas and to listen to my Borla TD exhaust in the cold air. I leave the gas station and came to an intersection. I just missed the light so I looked down to pick a good song from the 6 cd changer. A car pulls up besides me, I didn't look up, just noticed some black car at the corner of my eyes.
All of a sudden I hear it rev up it's engine. That woke me up. I looked over just in time to see a guy in the driver seat of a black Pontiac Sunfire and his girlfriend hitting him in the arm saying: "Are you nuts!? That's a 350Z!"
And him saying: "Okay, okay. Fine!"
I tried not to laugh or make a smirk as to not embarress him because I remember when I was a student and driving a Celebrity I drove off at a moderate speed and hoped they enjoyed my exhaust note as much as I did. I had the biggest smile on my face.
Lately, I've been noticing people knowing what a 350Z is. Not guys, but girls and little kids. Did I miss some new Knightrider show with the 350Z as Kit or something? The 350Z is pretty rare here in my city, so I'm always surprise when girls and little kids know that the car is a 350Z.

Jvanquish, I think you mean 3,000 per state.
Davidv, I just hear a lot of people (specially in socal) complaining that there are too many Z's now on the road, so I just assumed it's everywhere in the US.

It's a rare car outside cities.

I love having a somewhat unique car and getting lots of looks. I'm all excited if I see a Z on the road, which is not very often. I've only seen about 5 Z's since I bought the car the end of August, and I drive 60 miles a day.

aboundance of Z s
[B] Tjere was 3 in the parking lot of the company I work for a year ago - the others were a black and the blue roadster with the black top. The other two have disappeared. It is not unusual to see one when i go for a not too long drive around the city. The chrome silver seens to be the most popular color. I was driving down the stree about 8 blocks away one evening lately and another chrome silver came up beside . I was wondering what the peope behind us were thinking. I still love it - even though they are not so rare - although we were in the Colorado Springs, Denver area this spring for about12 days and didnt see another Z from the time we left home til we got back.

Weird but last weekend I was going to a Z canyon run and my navigator with old data lead me to the wrong driveway direction. I saw another Z roadster in front of me pulling a U turn and so I followed him because he had Z hamburger badges and made eye contact and I assume he was going to the canyon run. First thing we saw in the driveway of a news stand was another roadster. So I thought for a second that was where the meet was at. He continues to drive. We pass by 2 other Z one blue and one red coupe. He keeps driving and parks on another row right next to another roadster. I asked if he was here for the meet. He said he wasn't and I was a bit embarassed. So I saw 4 roadsters in one shopping center. And for the two Z coupes that I passed by red and blue, the blue one was there for the canyon run but the red one wasn't. 2 black coupes showed up with a RWD corolla at the end. That was very strange.
Malibu has a lot of roadsters FYI.
