Don't knock the pop charger. I have an 04, no issues. I've installed and re-installed (after cleaning it) many times, never an issue. Then again, I also know how to drive stick properly, and I do not slam the clutch in and leave it after WOT and at high speeds. Coasting is bad for any car with any intake installed for this reason alone.

I had my popcharger for close to 2 years. Never had an issue. Cleaned it many times, no issues. Had my car up to 150mph, no issues. It's really wied how some people have problems and others are completely happy. Got to sell mine now because of the S/C.

Should've kept going in 5th... You only get about 500rpms from 6th gear.
I love this gear box too, never missed a gear yet and I've taken to the track a few times as well as spirited driving...?
I read this a lot though on hear?

I've had this happen too, and while I cant remember because I'm usually focused on other things when its happened, I wonder if this does in fact only happen when the clutch has been pressed in and the rpms drop. I feel like with the pop charger there is nothing that can really stop the rpms at ~800 after just being at 6600 and the car just shuts off. Whats scarier is when you're cruising at around 90-100 one a wet road and the car shuts off when you're in the middle of a turn with a barrier to your left and another car to your right. At that point you dont know whats going on, I thought I was hydroplaning. All I could do was say my prayers and thank the Z for a good time.

I thought this had to do with an unshielded crank angle sensor wire?

[B] I think some of these modifications may affect the mass air sensor. I had one go bac in my 95 Maxima - I would be driving along and the engine would stop suddenly. Not a good feeling when driving the center of the expressway at 75 mph. I would just slip it into neutral and start the engine , back into drive position and keep moving. It took several trips (and $750) to the dealorship to solve the problem.

You are better off doing a search and finiding who has been having issues with the pop charger, also as some one mentioned before you may not even get the problem, or even prevent the problem by resetting the ECU or waiting for the ECU to adjust to your pop charger.

buddy...after you've installed your popcharger...reset your ECU by unplugging the battery for about 20 minutes, don't wait and let your ECU adjust by driving it...just reset it and you're safe...I've never had a problem with mine

Your car shut off at 130mph and you didn't even pop the hood the check what went wrong?

Glad you're safe.

I'm pretty sure after I remove the stock intake I'm going to get a "Service Engine Soon" light. Is the pedal pressing method the equivalent of unplugging the battery in order to reset the ecu?

I've reached 150+ and have thrown it into neutral many times without my car turning off. And yes, I do have a popcharger. What am I doing right?

You know what? I kicked myself 100 times for not pulling over. Just three weeks ago I was w/ my buddy in his 305WHP eclipse doing about 120 on the highway, he redlined 4th gear, went to shift, and his motor shut off....He pulled over only to notice that his timing belt snapped. I wasn't even thinking about it at the time.

It's the same... I reset the ECU after the install and never had a problem.

The pedal method will reset your ECU. I've just never been able to do it. It will take longer than 20 min. for your ECU to reset if your battery is unplugged though.

Went ahead and installed, did the pedal pressing method to reset the ECU and opened it up for a good 30 minutes straight reaching speeds of up to 105 a few times and it's looking (and sounding) great. No stalls, no problems except for drilling holes in the plastic snorkel. That whistle is great and the exhaust note after 3000 rpms.
