03 performance model with pop charger !! never had a problem either !!! and yes whistle/throaty sound is deff the **** !! the filter should not cause your car to shut off..u should be able to run it with no filter at all!! check ur connections to the airmass meter !! u mite of loosened something there while installing ???

i dont have a pop charger issue, but i would just like to add that i like racing against RSXs. win every time
