I have become immune to velocity.
I am sure everyone here can empathize with me, so I share my thoughts on my 2 month-old Enthusiast:
Initially, the torque and hp of the Z seemed unusably high. “OMG, I can burnout just by stepping on the gas pedal! No clutch drop required!” It seemed to pull with the force of a locomotive. I was in heaven, needless to say.
Fast-forward 2 months. Yes, it’s still fast. It pulls just as hard, if not harder since it’s now broken in and I can rev it to redline with impunity. But, somehow, it seems inadequate… Do I have an itch for forced induction?
I have become callused to speed.

That is why i love having a daily driver. You don't get as used to the z's speed. I just got back from a business trip to virginia and took the z for a spin, man it felt powerful. I still want my vortec though....hopefully this spring hehe

Coming from a high 12 second Mach 1, the Z seems pretty doggish at times. So I had the reverse feeling when I got mine. I was like, wow this is slow. Nonetheless, I still enjoy the car.

i have been driving since iwas 12. i started circut racing with couple of my older friends when i was 14. now 20. i have been driving a lot time. most of my firends when i was 14 were about 16, 17. sooo i we would go to the tracks and start racing. i would always jack one of my friends cars. (i knew the track owner so it was cool wiht him) but when i turned 16. my dad got me a 00 accord coupe V6. it pulled about 200hp. the first month or so the car seemed fast. but after driving it for a while i grew tired of the car. and the car actually seemed like it lost power lol. i wasnt suprized coz i redlined the S-H-I-T out of the car lol. then i drove my sister bfs g35c stick. wow that car pulled i was like godd dammmmm. then i test drove the 350z that following weekend. and it pulled twice as hard. goign from 200hp-300hp is big diff. but then the edge of the car dies. and when u just get "used" to the car. i suggest doin some stupid stuff wiht the car lol. i was power sliding every corner wiht he accord lol. but wiht the Z.....hmmm should i turn it to a drift car or a track car. TRACK. imma smoke all my friends. them in there dam bimmers. HA. they dont got shi-t aggenst my Z lol. but ya when any car gets boring. u can either do 2 things to it. MOD it. or SLIDE it. to keep everythign interesting lol.

The Z may not be fast .... but it is quick.
What I mean by fast is:
Being able to jump in the car, whip through tight spots around town and not having to worry so much about the size of things. This thing handles like a slot car. It has plenty of power, just not brute force. However, on the street the 350Z has at least as much as is required for quick race course driving.

No matter what I do the 350 feels slower to me. Thats all in part because my Daily driver (87 nissan 300zx turbo) is faster than the 350. haha but the 350 is just so much nicer of a ride.

i remember when i first got mine i didnt think it was very fast at all. Although i did live in colorado at a 10,000ft altitude. When i moved down to texas and nailed the throttle for the first time it scared me. It doesnt feel fast anymore though, needs about +150 hp and tq

I actually think the ride of the 300ZXT is better with the adjustable suspension and all. Then again when you have 255-45-16's on the back that helps the ride as well.
I had this car into the first 18 months of my 350Z:
That cars ride was better than the 350Z. Granted it's an '84
This one was even better than that since it didn't have the increased spring and shock rates:
That's a '86 300zxt. Both of the ZX's were boosted to 10psi and only could get them down to 14.5 in the quarter with DR's.
However, with the 16way adjustable shocks and sways I'm planning for this 350Z it will surpass the old car soon:
If I only had the money:
However, I would never drive it, one nice and I wouldn't be able to sleep for a month. He he he.
Dang .... I guess I like grey/silver tone sports cars here's my other two:
Sorry for so many picts.... I just saw a trend and thought it was funny.
