low tone whistle at 140KM / hour??
I have an 05 roadster. At around 140km/hr I can hear a low whistle from the motor. It's only at that speed. Higher or lower, it's gone. If i step on the gas, it will go away.
It reminds me of my other car I had. I had put in a cold air intake and at a certain speed you could hear a low whistle. It was determined that it came from the throttle body.
I don't have a CAI on my z.
Anyway, just wondering if anybody else has heard this before?

yeah, around 130, 140.. etc. not sure if it's the tranny though, because when I step on the gas, it will stop. As soon as I easy up on the throttle it will start. I'm thinking it's the throttle body.
On a recent long trip, I noticed at almost exactly 80mph a whine from the transmission. Nothing to worry about though. Practically any engine/tranmission/rear end will have some resonate frequency built into it. Once you get to the special speed, it will become obvious.
