Leather all the way. I have to have a lil luxury in my sport car. But not too much and leather/Nav/Bose is all I need. Plus seat warmers as someone said.

I found the cloth much more comfortable. Always nice to prefer the cheaper option!

The Touring is the most popular model so the answer is obvious.

leather is way too hot for me in texas plus i dont like having to take care of it all the time. I had leather on my integra GS and on my SVT cobra, at last i am free from sweaty backs during the summer time! That being said i love leather if it just wasnt so damn hot.

I've had leather seats before....and while they're nice, I've been really happy with the cloth seats in my Z. Don't have to worry about heat or cold....or slipping...or wearing jeans with anything metal on them, etc. I just find them really comfortable...and even though I'm considering redoing my seats....I'll probably do them in cloth again (just with a bit of color matching).

I like the black cloth seats in my Z because it gets pretty damn hot and humid and I like to drive shirtless at the beach and not stick to the seats.

Leather, because that's the only way you can get the ventilated seats. Your back won't sweat with those, even on hot, humid days.

I switched to leather three cars ago and won't be going back to fabrics again. Cloth is too absorbant and unforgiving. They do breathe a little better, but don't look as good to me, do not last as long (if leather is cleaned and conditioned regularly), and are more difficult to keep clean over the long term. Although leather can retain a little extra heat in the Summer, they also usually have a heater option for the Winter months.

Maybe the poll should ask people if they have cloth, would they get leather if they had the money.

And ask people with leather seats if they would go to cloth if they had to do it all over again. Excluding racing seats

i have leather so i obviously prefer it. Its way more comfortable and cleaner looking. People always ask if these are the seats it comes with.

However, they do get a lil hot and cause you to sweat. Out of all the cloth seats ive seen, i think the Z has some very nice ones. Also the seats in a sentra SpecV. My last car a dodge stratus had horrible cloth seats.

I love the leather in the Z. It's not hot at all after sitting in the sun and it's so nice and soft. My last 2 cars had black leather, so I'm loving my frost leather interior.

"...first thing people ask you on the phone when your trying to sell your car. "

Answer: "Its a sports car; real sports cars only have cloth; if your not a real enthusiast quit wasting my time"!

LOL!

Cloth - They wear better. Don't Crack like the leather seats I have in my Pathfinder. The driver seat is worn and it looks like it. The others almost look new. . If your gonna get leather get black. It is easier to use shoe polish to touch up over time. Tan, you'll never match it. If I could have gotten power cloth seats in my Z that would have been nice. However, once the seat is adjusted I rarely change it anyways.

The other reason I like them is that you don't slip all over the seats as you do with leather. Cloth seats are much cooler in the summer, and warmer in the winter. My Mother and Father in law was commenting about the leather seats and how he was sliding all over the place in the back of my leather trimmed sedan. I don't think it was my driving. I was going really slow as not to upset him. That sucked !!!

I like the feel of cloth over leather better most of the time. Leather in cars in harder generally to hold up the wear. Sofa leather that is softer most of the time doesn't hold up like the car leather does.

I actually like the leather in my Firebird. It is soft and tough. However, it was aftermarket. I bought the car and got it free since they didn't want to take it back off and wanted the car gone. $1700 of leather, seats and side panels. Woot !!! Generally, I do not like leather. If I could have purchased my Pathfinder without it I would have. Unfortunately, I wanted everything else in the Pathfinder except the leather.

When you do have to replace them cloth is a lot cheaper to repair. This is due to material cost and labor cost.

I like the way some of the cloth interiors look. The designs these days are getting much better. Leather design can be just as nice but, they are different.

i don't know what kind of leather you guys are talking about but i never slip in my leather seats. and what's this real enthusiast talk; why don't you remove your passenger seat, air conditioning, power windows? that will make you a true enthusiast.
