Leather, I plan on tracking my car, but only to have fun with it. I'm not going to punish my car on the tracks to gain some precise seconds. It's mainly an everyday car so looks is a factor. And my leather/heated/automated movements is part of the looks facter. This is my taste, some people think racing seats are bling bling.

I like the feel of cloth seats better, plus they wear in alot better (don't stretch and crack like leather can)

Default Cloth

Cloth seats because then I don't have to worry about switching the seats out for racing buckets.

Cloth because they don't have me slipping and sliding, that and leather gets too hot in the summer here in Cali.

Leather is just nicer, nicer looking and nicer feeling. After saying that though it changes with the temp....it can be pretty cold and pretty hot. Overall I would pick leather everytime.

Had leather in my eclipse. Now that I have cloth it sucks, literally, it sucks the hell out of coffee and soda. I have a stain on one of the seats that I can't take out. Leather is easier to clean, and it looks better.

I was about to do the same thing.

I love leather. It's more comfortable than cloth, cleans better and if you take care of it holds up better. If I get racing buckets I'll have those trimmed in leather too.

The seats in the Z cradle you very well; no slippage whatsoever with leather. Leather is very durable and looks great much longer than cloth will. Yes, eventually, it can crack and look ugly if you don't take care of it. I sold my 10-year old Jeep GC with leather and the seats still looked fantastic.

You cant give a guy who just paid half a million bucks cloth seats unless you have a way of justifying it... like porsche GT3... you strip out everything and jack up the price tag... :P

On top of that leather is heavier... I really want to change out my stock seats for race buckets!

Why can't you justify it? Some racing seats are way more expensive then leather seats.

I guess the owners of those cars aren't "true enthusiasts" with your definition that "true enthusiasts" must have "real" seats".

Some guy said sports cars must have cloth seats, and I countered that with proof that not all sports cars must have cloth seats to be "sports cars".

Let's talk about the seats and not who is a "true enthusiasts".

I like the look and feel of leather. IMO the Z`s interior looks a little cheap as it is, even moreso with cloth.

The Z interior is "early areospace" & the cloth adds to the image!
