Talking ok..newbie here..interested in the new Z

allright i am an avid nissan owner, ive had two altimas, one 02' 2.5 and now an 03' 3.5SE which rips. I am lookin at the Z's and i want one wicked bad, but i have a few questions, should i lease an 06'? like enthusiast or touring, or just buy an 03 used one that has allready mods on it and possibly a turbo allready on it? i am trying to stick to sorta low payment prolly not higher than 470 a month..thanks guys

Default Search Function!!!

If you are going to get a Z...stay away from the 03 and the first run of 04's...there were some issues with these cars....and get real familiar with the search function of the site. All of your questions can be answered here.

if you want a new car, get an 06. if you dont mind driving someones leftovers, get a used. its as simple as that. as for enthusiest or touring, you need to decide if the options outwieght the costs.

i would go with the enthusiest then, especially if you are going to add an aftermarket radio. you can always add leather down the road if you want.

if you want to turbo, then i would actually get a used one and save some money. that way, you wont be throwing away a new warranty.

Best buy now is probably a new 05.....at least the Enthusiast.

Rev up motor changed internal parts which might make a better platform for FI.

Buy or lease?
Which year?
Which model?

So you've really narrowed it down haven't you?

haha yeah well..i guess i am not getting the 03's because they have some issues, and some of the early production 04's so i guess i am leaning towards the 05's. i am going to get the enthusiast bc i am going to change everything anyways. well i want to lease an 06 but i am going to put stuff on it and its going to destroy the warranty and if they have problems too i dont want to risk it. But then again i am most likely going to buy out the lease at the end anyways..hmmm

Don't think you should be putting on a turbo if you are leasing the car... you may plan to buy it out but you never know what will happen.

Just buy something lightly used or a leftover 05.
