True to form, the 350z brochure is arriving from arsabin now, roughly 79% of 60 megs in .iso form.

Also, my hosting possibilities are somewhat limited over the weekend, so unless you guys don't mind 6 users at 14kb/s, I'm sure we'd all bless a second, faster host. : )

I had been expecting 7000 or close and was hoping all this 6500-6600 hearsay was wrong. But now that it's officially 6600, my question is, what's up with that? Performance tuned version capable of less revs than truck tuned version. Seems kinda messed up to me.
I think Nissan may have set the rev limiter at 6600 because they assumed most people would be pushing the redline a lot more often on the Z than on the Pathfinder. By dropping 100RPMs there is less risk of engine damage. Also, if peak horsepower occurs at 6200 and peak torque is 4800, there is little reason to push it to 6700. Just my guess as to why the limit is 6600.

Default Nissan package

Recieved my package from Nissan today. All the official specifications were given. Will not reveal figures so you can enjoy when you get yours. One thing I was surprised about was the weight of the automatic transmission car was lighter than the 6 speed manual and the Track edition was the second heaviest Z car. Enjoy yours when you get it.

You are partially correct. On the touring the manual weighs 8 pounds more (3247 v. 3239) but on the Enthusiast the manual weighs 13 pounds less (3197 v. 3210). The 18 inch wheels on the touring manual must be the weight difference.

Just checked my mailbox, it was sitting out there.

Very cool.

For all the bitching I've done about Nissan's handling of pre-order customers, this is definitely the type of "collector's item" that makes the agonizing waiting worthwhile.

Default What number is yours?

Someone asked about the number on the back of the black box. Mine is number 100 out of 10,000. Do you think it means anything?

Just got mine. I'm number 90/10000. That means, in my Z mind, I'm going to receive the 90th Z off the boat . Ha, Ha., I only wish. Maybe NNA will allow us to trade "up" our Limited Edition BW cards fo, lets say, a Keychain.

for those of you that have received your packages, when did you pre-order your cars?

maybe the people that pre-ordered first get the package first?
idk, just a guess...i live in MI, and i have not received anything yet. I put down a deposit on april 12th.

so, what are your pre-order dates? that way we can see if the people that ordered first are getting their packages first.

ok, thanx man.
obviously the time of pre-orders doesnt play a role, since i ordered one day before you, and you received the package before me.

thanx NJZ

Default Nice package!

I just got my info package from Nissan and I am really impressed! As ZISME said, they did indeed "spend some money" and put together a nice package with a hard case, high-quality photo cards, and a CD-ROM. I know this is discussed in another thread, but let's face it: Nissan didn't have to do this: they already have our money. I think this was a classy move, and unlike some complainers here and there I really appreciate the gesture from Nissan towards us pre-orderers.

If anyone from Nissan is reading this, THANK YOU! You have just bought some priceless customer loyalty.
