Who are you calling dummy? *I* read my manual. I guess your dealer didnt read an owners manual either.
Fail-safe
If the vehicle is driven under extreme conditions,
such as excessive wheel spinning
and subsequent hard braking, the fail-safe
system may be activated. This will occur
even if all electrical circuits are functioning
properly. In this case, turn the ignition key
OFF and wait for 3 seconds. Then turn the
key back to the ON position. The vehicle
should return to its normal operating condition.
Look it up and share it with your friend/dealer. I just dont appreciate being called a fool..
You must have great friends there, because if you toast an AT, Nissan will probably want to see that trans (and tear it down), there havent been that many failures, it would be suspicious. The dealer will not be reimbursed for it if it was abuse. Unless he is 'knowing people' at Nissan that is.
