Default 2004 with 39,000 miles, anyone have more?

Sup fellas,

Random thought running through my mind. My 2004 Enthusiast Silverstone Coupe (bought Sept 2003) now has about 39,000 miles on it . How screwed am I down the road in a year or two when I want to sell/trade it in (maybe for the new GT-R). Anyone on this forum have more miles on a 2004?

Hey are you the Z on the new Z commercial?

GL on trading for a GTR, as it will be limited production and the markup will be crazy! Just trying to bring you to reality.

Oh and you will get raped in the trunk with high miles!

'04 Touring... 6,100 miles

As far as your situation goes, you could a) not drive the car for the next two years because 40K miles on a 4-year old car is okay, or b) just enjoy your car and cross the trade-in bridge when you come to it. If the car is well-maintained and looks decent in two years, somebody will want it. If not, it'll be a sweet "beater" car.

Boy, I wish I was that Z on the commercial (the Redline with Nismo graphics). But that is what my plates say, so I feel honored. GT-R might be out of reach, but I am also thinking about the Mitsu Evo X when it comes out. Turbo, 7 speed SMG, AWD, backseat, sounds tempting.

To be fair, I bought my '04 in January 2005, so it's not really that old, per se. You've prolly accumulated more enjoyment from your car than I have so far.

Evo 10? I never heard of such a thing. I visited my local Mitsubishi dealer and checked out the new evo9's. They are cool except they look almost identical to the evo8.

Keep your car, i never got the whole buy a sports car for 2-3 years thing. Even with low miles you always take it up the butt.

I'm with you on this. However, in this day in age. If you can keep it to under 15K per year you'll come out OK if you car is clean. Most leases are doing 15K per year now so people expect it.

Heck, money is just fun tickets.... go for it !!!

When I bought my 04 Redline in June of 04, it had 5 miles on it. 33,071 later, you can't chisel the smile off of my face!!!!!!!
