The 350Z on Motorweek
I think we jumped the gun here regarding the 350Z on Motorweek. I went to the PBS.org website, checked airtimes and it always listed a different issue so I checked the national Motorweek site. It said the show we want to see is show #2143
Well, this morning's show was #2140 so we might be waiting a little while. I checked the show for Saturday and it listed the same show number, #2140.

If someone knows more on this, or better yet, when show #2143 will air, please speak up!

Tomorrow's episode is not the right episode... click the link that VQ put up... come down to Motor Week. Click it. Find what the details are for that show....
-------------------------------
Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland
Roadtest-- Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland
Comparison Test-- Nissan Altima, Toyota Camry, Ford Taurus, Honda Accord
Goss' Garage-- Picking the Right Roof Rack and Cargo Box
High Road-- Auburn's Classic Car Festival
--------------------------------
Now go to the link I posted at the top of this page and click that. It details the show numbers and what each show is. The show that is on tomorrow does not match anywhere.
I'm not arguing that it's on tomorrow, it is on... but it's not the Z episode.

At the end of last week's episode, John Davis said they would have the first test of the Z in next week's episode and they showed the Z go by. Plus, Motorweek's website says it will start showing today depending on when your local PBS station runs it. So I don't know what the problem is here.....

As I've said before, my TiVo has the Jeep Overland description too for this weekend's show, but it was wrong last weekend and I'm sure its wrong this weekend too.

In fact, I just looked at it more closely on my TiVo, and while it has the wrong description, it DOES SHOW the RIGHT episode number. So all I can say is, tune in this weekend for the first on air test of the 350Z!!!!

Where to find your the 350Z airing...
When you go to the "MotorWeek" url in JmanZ post, go to "On the Air" tab, click on TV Station Listings and you'll find out exactly what channel and time the show will air in your home city.
Oops...first go its home page, then.....

Just saw the Z on MotorWeek
No performance stats. They just verified the horsepower and torque numbers we know already. Everything they said was positive.

Not til next week?
Motorweek show in NY said their first impressions would be next week, I am assuming the week of July 3rd?
Why would it be different in PA?
Confused and befuddled.

It's out there
PBS set their own schedules locally. I taped Motorweek this morning here in Columbus, and there was the Z! A two and a half minute segment with the Z racing around the track in Virginia, looks great.

JMANZ et al, forget about the program description. the daytona blue 350Z was DEFINATELY on todays Motorweek on PBS. Best bet (which is what I was going to do) is record every Motorweek on PBS or SpeedVision for the next week or two. I got lucky today. They really only had a overview of about 2 minutes when the Motorweek guys were testing at a Virgina race track. I am not sure why we have a press embargo when the 350Z is on TV and packets are arriving before July 3rd??

The Z was on this AM
Since the PBS stations have control of when they show their shows, you have to check your local station. Luckily we had the Z on this morning here in Columbus.

MOTORWEEK on PBS on DTV CH 980 in DC comes on at 5PM today at the on screen guide says Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland, Altima, Camry, Taurus, Accord, car festival. No mention of the 350Z, is this the show that has the short clip of the Z on a virginia track? I believe the Columbus people said they saw the Z clip today!

For some reason the show description was wrong, but I watched it and it did indeed have the piece on the Z! It was a track test (with the beautiful Blue color) but no 0-60 or 1/4 mile times like they usually do. The car looked great cornering at the track! Of course they said only good things about it, but they say good things about every vehicle -- not very critical.
