Some of the people in that thread seem like idiots, some seem cool, and some seem to be defending there rides. Its no different than people here when they say G35 > Z or Sti/EVO > Z and people get defensive of the Z.

OK... I was the owner of a dearly -departed Z32. I felt some sort of connection to that car. Anyway, it was totaled, and thru a fortunate sequence of events I was able to purchase a brand new 996 TURBO. The car is absolutely awesome from a pure technical point of view. But I do not sense the character of the car like I did with the Z. Strangely enough, I want a 350...

Thanks for the (tongue-in-cheek) offer, but a week would not be long enough. I guess I'm talking about how you get to know a car...how you can bond with it and make it seem part of you. The Porsche is close to the perfect car technically. It can easily outrun (and arguably out-show) any car on the road but it is so sterile, so spartan. The interior is hard and cold...all function, no personality. It's like some icy, unapproachable woman.
