you mention removing the battery, but not the anti-pinch of the windows. If you remove the battery and close the hood, how are you doing to get back in without tweaking the window a bit?

My windows freeze all the time (I'm not up north), so I know the door will open anyway. Might be worth discussing how to avoid a damaged A-pillar.

Hook up a battery tender to a gfi or surge protector and run the wires up underneath so the hood is latched.
