do you guys think that's chrome silver?

also interesting -- the 17" 7 spokes look pretty good, in my opinion. i also don't understand why that's the only pic the person was able to take.

The wheels in this picture are certainly different than those on the pictures of the show cars. I hope the 17" seven spoke wheels in the photo gallery are the ones that will be on the Touring AT model.

Can't wait to see how the Brickyard goes with the Frost leather interior.

Those wheels are the 17 inchers shown on Nissandriven.com

The color of the car looks like a tan/gold... similar to the one spotted in Torrance.

Interesting, since that color is not an option.

However, I am pleased with the look of those wheels!

I think the color on the Z in the pic looks like tan/gold is because the guy didn't use a flash, and the garage has yellowish lighting.

It should be Chrome Silver on that car.

Wish there's more pics on it.

According to the post I saw about this on another site, there were two Z's in the garage, one a 6MT and one a 5AT, both chrome silver.
I'm guessing there's either more pictures that the photographer is holding back from us, or the person with the camera was not allowed to take more. The lack of flash and low angle leads me to believe they were trying to be sneaky about it.

By the way, I was just looking through that guys website, and he's definitely a photographer of some sort. Most of his pics are in that sepia tone (goldish) coloring so I do think thats the actual color of the Z. I think it also explains the odd camera angle, he's trying to be artsy about it and not snap a photo for us car nuts.

To show you just how crazy I am about this car, I tracked down the guys e-mail address (no, I won't tell you how I did it), and sent him the following (name & e-mail has been removed). Will post additional corrispondence if any.

Ethan -

We found 2 identical 350z's in the garage of the rendo beach hotel at rendo beach california. They both had Michigan Dealer plates. I took a few pictures, but the camera ran out of juice. My friend who's camera it was only sent me one of them.

And that is how I got that picture.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX,

Very excellent photograph of the Nissan 350Z (http://frantic.co.za/350z.jpg)! I would love to hear about how you found this car in public- as it is over a month away from production! Any additional pictures would be greatly appreciated.

I'm a huge Z car fan, and have a 350Z on order!!!

Thank you so much!

Ethan

The car had tan leather seats, the console was soo slick, completly smooth surfaces. The door handles are smooth metalic. It had a nice metalic stick shifter. That's about it.

tan?

must have been the frost huh?
i sure hope frost doesn't turn out to be absolutely tan...i don't like tan with my daytona blue.

also it could be burnt orange under really bad lighting conditions, but here's another point to ponder...what in the world is leather doing in a car with the 17in rims if it had the manual (i suppose since it's a nice STICK shifter rite?). If it was the touring with leather seats and a stick, it had to have the regular 18 inchers. AND i thought the shifter was in leather, not some "metallic" material...rite?

Thanks for the nostalgic post. It was very interesting to read the comments and then check the names. Most of us are still here checking out all the new posts. Sure is a big difference knowing that the Brickyard and Frost go well together(the question I raised in my post in the thread) and that my proof is sitting in my garage.
