Default Splash Guards

Did anyone else get splash guards they did not order? Got my Z 12/28 and it had guards I did not order. I did not have to pay for them and will keep them on. Not in love with the rear guards, I will keep them on for now and see if they grow on me.

Mike

Chrome Silver Touring, 6 speed, with all options except Nav and splash guards....I thought

Really I like the way they look! The rear guards look kinda strange from the back of the car they kinda stick out.

I didn't order mine with Splash Guards, but when I saw another with, I liked them. About 2 months ago I ordered the Guards form Nissan dealer. Fortunately, they are not so expensive and come painted form factory. I got my front pair within a week after ordering, but still waiting for rear. Right now my Z has only front Splash Guards. It looks cool.
Nissan is re manufacturing the rear Splash Guards for some reason, maybe its the style which makes them stick out a little as you guys mentioned.
Anyway, if anyone has a spare set for the rear in lemans sunset, I'll take it. I don't know how long it will take for Nissan to built them or send them.

I made sure mine didn't come w/ splash gaurds. I think they really take away form the sportyness of the rear (just my opnion).

CS 6 spd. Touring (all options except side airbags and splash gaurds)

I had to order mine with them because of some regional requirement BS. Rather than argue about it, since they gave me them for 100 bucks, I just told them I'll probably want them removed on delivery. I'll just tell them to throw them in the trunk. Anyone need some PPW guards?

I hope the holes are no problem to plug... ugh...

Thumbs up Front Splashguards Only!

I also installed just the front splashguards. The rears just do not blend into the bodylines near as elegantly.

Anyone remove them and plug the holes? Are they a problem to plug? I hate the idea of having holes drilled into the steel, but I really don't want to leave the guards on the car. I can't stand them, especially the rears.

The updated splash guards are now available. You might check with your dealer about your order status, otherwise we have them at CourtesyParts.com.

I believe there was an issue with the template used to line up the holes on the original kit. All genuine Nissan accessories come with installation unstructions, etc. Apparently, Nissan was not comfortable with some part of the install kit.

My Z came with them on too - - I picked it up right before Christmas - all five that came on the truck that day had them - I didn't order them and really din't want them but since they're on I guess I'll get used to them, can't beat the paint protection.

Mine was delivered without guards, but I loved the look of them so I ordered them and installed them myself.

And they really do work great at protecting the paint. Before the guards the parts of the car behind the guard areas were much much dirtier.

Mine came with, but I'm sure I did not order them. Regardless, I was so happy to have my car I didn't argue. I will however be taking them off come spring. Anyone want them?

$0.02:

Don't like 'em.

Didn't order 'em.

I think they look "fussy" and spoil the clean lines of a great car.
