Default Paint removal advice needed

Sup everyone,

Need some help. Awhile back, I messed up my driver's side fender and needed a new one. The body ship did an okay job on the fender but unfortunately I discovered excess paint on my driver's side window and windshield (I noticed my driver's side window had a rough texture and you can sorta make out fingerprints on the windshield ). It's too late to take it up with them, so my question is what product/solution should I use to remove the paint. My driver's side window is tinted so that's a consideration also. Any help would be mucho appreciated.

Removing paint from glass should be easy. I recommend an auto polish with good cleaning ability such as Prestone. Avoid solvents such as paint remover: one drop on the car surface and you're in deep kimchee.

Yeah, I figured paint thinner was a bad idea. Cool, thanks for the feedback, I'll look into that Prestone auto polish then.

I'm guessing Clay bar should work beautifully for this (has for me in the past). It will remove overspray without the need for more caustic solvents. Just remember to use enough lube.

Just get some acetone on a rag and wipe off the overspay it will be fine just dont bathe your car in it. Acetone works good at removing tar and things like that. Just dont rub your paint hard with the rag, doesnt take much. Plus hes only using it on glass anyways.

If it is just on the glass a razor blade will do the trick.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the pointers guys. I think I'll try the auto polish first and if that doesn't work, I'll try the acetone next. Hopefully I won't mess up my tint.

You can buy the claybar at just about any auto parts store - It runs about $12-15. I used the Meguiar's kit, worked great.
